Was trying to track this VK For an allied Jg,tig 8,8 so i could get some tracking then somehow managed to pen this. The shell  hits the tracks slightly and would exit through only the spaced side armour guarding the tracks, Never actually hitting the hull/turret or any part that would deal damage to the tank.

Here is the replay; http://wotreplays.eu/site/5051885#ruinberg-xx984-koda_t_27 Happens not too far in. Everything else about this game isn't very impressive so dont judge me D: Replay results show as 0 on website as i left before game ended when i died.

Hitbox problem with the sprocket, most probably, many tanks have this bug.

Is it possible that the shell ricocheted off the inside of the spaced and back into the side of the hull and penned like that? I dunno if that's even possible but hey. :deer:

That's what I thought as well. Let's go with that.

I thought spaced armour just absorbed without the chance of ricochet? Looking on tanks.gg also it just says absorbed, where as if there was normal armour behind it as well as the spaced it would be a ricochet. Unless they changed something recently perhaps?

Spaced armour works exactly as primary armour, so it can ricochet if it's not overmatched.

The thing that recently looks messed up is the 10 caliber rule...

Honestly I only guessed as much because of that weird T95 Spot where you can pen it in the tracks by basically doing the same thing.

That spot on the T95 connects with the hull of the tank though

The plate above the tracks slopes down quite steeply and is 55mm thick.  So I think an internal ricochet then hitting that.
