in reality these two vehicles were present in the game files already before this patch

what makes you suppose that they will be as rewards for a marathon?

Not really, I'm asking. :)

And I'm hoping for it, usually Marathons have more benefits than offers.

Yes they probably will have at least 1 new tank in the bond shop so you might be right.

Tbh with Frontline every month, I can't say I look forward to any marathon that might appear. Saying that, it'll very much be a matter of either "I don't care about this tank at all so oh well" (E-75 TS, M48 Rpz) or "I'll maybe grind a bit of it and then just pay for the rest" (T54E2).

M48 will probably be marathon tank.

It has a certain smell to it.

Gun handling, size, ammo capacity, accuracy (forces you to fight close), and gold pen of 255mm HEAT, not to mention overall mobility.

Unless that cupola is super strong (i doubt it), it's gonna be a 'meh' tank, which is what WG likes to do with marathon tanks.

They do ocasionally offer strong tanks in marathons, like the EBR (i don't think they realized how strong that one was), Progetto 46 (marathon introduced as the 1st new type of marathon, and the 1st marathon after a loooooong period ... so they needed to capture attention), but otherwise they prefer to offer a tank that has a strong/unique stat but held back by a lot of other stuff, while the more 'complete' premiums are for sale only for cash.

Example is the Caern AX, held back by alpha. It has to expose often, so it's not as strong as the tech tree Caern.

SU-130 PM is held bacy by it's hidden mobility values (or lack thereof), while Skorp G is buffed by those.

Overall i think they view marathon tanks as semi-free tanks, so there is no incentive of offering a tank that is super awesome, super meta (again, EBR/Progetto were exceptions).

One interesting trait that some marathon tanks have, is low ammo capacity, compare it for the T25 Pilot, Progetto, Caern AX (most likely progetto will receive an ammo capacity buff at some point, like the T-44-100). This one has ok ammo capacity of 64 rounds.

Now in regards to the T54E2/Renegade, it has already had a presentation, 4tankersanddog played it for about 1h when WG NA activated it on CC accounts before it's time.

The tank is too strong for marathon tbh, and it has a skin version (a la Defender/252U, Liberte/M4 49 and t26e5/Patriot).

The gun handling is basically medium tank level, the turret armor is real (cupola is weakspot obviously) and the hull ... while weak at t9 in the form of the t54e1, at t8 is actually strong.

Here are some semi-reviews of it.

I agree with every single word you said.

I knew this when i saw the SU-130, and even CAX.

Did WG set Defender for sales from it's very first days? Or it was marathon tank?(I guess it was for cash)

The good prem tanks are offered only for cash. Otherwise, get ready for grinding a trash tank.

Thus I'll just go for the good prizes.

Eh? Are you calling the Progetto, EBR and T44-100 trash tanks?

And you are forgetting the Turtle MK1 also was added yesterday.

My guess is one marathon and the other two will appear in the Christmas calender.

What actually is this Turtle Mk 1?

Sounds like something British, which by default means it is crap.

Basically a Tier VIII Badger (I went with Badger over Tortoise since then you could just say the AT15 Is a Tier VIII Tortoise).

Well for some reason,I cannot view graphics of new tanks in the supertest but I feel I was not far off, watched QB's vid on it and flat armour in frontal area? Hmm

Looks a bit iffy

Are there any super heavily armoured German TD's in the game files?

Although would make sense for e75 marathon soon with the other German missions atm

It's why I thought the M48 would already be out considering all the German related events and store focus the past 2 months.

Never been 2 back to back, but they have done 2 at the same time with different missions sets. But you could only complete one of the end rewards "KV-220 and Type 62". But never since.

Back during the summer they said no Marathons was planned until Sept. And I suspect there was one planned. As a badge for The Offspring tank has been leaked for earning the tank vs buying it.

That Renegade would be so cute as tier 9 medium, something like baby T95E6. ^_^

Well, i hope that the Renegade will be a marathon tank! :D

it looks good on paper, considering the shell velocity, damage, and reload. It's waaaay better than T 34, with better shaped turret, and absolutely better hull! Penetration is just as other tier 8s so it's acceptable.

Also it has a decent speed for a heavy tank.

The German med? Idk, but it looks worthless.

But for Renegade, it definitely will worth buying if it'll cost money. (though i won't, it'll just be another sad moment for f2p players. :( )
