OK, I have noticed lots of negativity on the forum lately and thought I would try and lighten the mood a touch.
So what makes you smile when playing world of tanks?
Here is an example from this afternoon:
I was trying to do a Obj 260 Arty Mission in my M44 (I know, poor excuse for playing a sky pig but I am a terrible person in general so you are going to have to forgive me) and I got Himmelsdorf. Bollocks I thought, best head to the railway station ASAP so I can rain down pain on those trying to push the castle. However, in my haste I managed to hit a building and flip on my side within 100 meters of the spawn. Double bollocks says I. A cry for help in chat ensued.
A minute goes by and no help appears, do I point my gun at the ground and splash myself to death and end the pain ASAP? But wait, what is this? Two tomato scouts, a Mt25 and aT64 come charging across the map and spend two minutes putting me back on my tracks. By this stage we are 3 tanks down and the enemy are swarming down the banana road. Now on my feet I pop around the corner and find a distracted full health Hellcat in front of me. That’s a one shot kill, boom. Swiftly followed by a VK30.01 at 25 meters, another one shot. I then get killed by a tiger but the two scouts go on to win the game. A good game showing really good team work and proof that if you stop and help it can really pay off.
This genuinely brought a smile to my face, much like receiving a well done message in chat.
go on guys and girls, what makes you grin whilst playing this frustrating but great game?
