Now that WG have taken away one good element of this game, (this game needs more mode, not less) is there any point to being in a clan?

I've been in several, even ,even helped fund the start up of one,yet right now find it very hard to be enthusiastic about joining any at all,and this is by no means dis respecting the people or clans that have invited me.

I really miss team battles. Can't really understand why WG removed them instead one of the multiple instance of CW related stuff. Or better, I understand why, it just is not a good reason to remove the only fun based mode.

BTW rant off.

Back on topic,  being in a clan still gives you advantage in terms of how easy is to find people to platoon. If you're a competitive player, which I think you're not, you may also need a clan for CW.

But if you got a lot of active friends for platooning and have no plan to enter CW, I agree that being in a clan wont add much to your gaming experience...

Camaraderie mainly, platoons, nifty little logo on your tank, shared chat channel, if they skirmish and build up a stronghold you benefit from various boosters for combat/free xp and credits.  Apart from the logo you can get most of this from friend lists and playing as a legionaire but beign in a clan probably makes it all easier.

I was always looking forward to Friday and Saturday. These were "traditional" Dinger TB days. They were the only two days of the week that we could blame Jay_Newb for anything and everything.

How I will cherish these memories, and blaming Jay for everything. Last I remember, Jay was responsible for Brexit.

Looking forward to the return of Team Battles, even if it is only a Christmas Special ;)

Most said it already. Best reason to be in a clan (beyond CW/skirmish stuff) is the camaraderie & ease of platooning. Especially after a bad run or when grinding some awful tanks it is great to have folks at your side.

Chat channels (like Forumites -> PW: play4fun ) can be a good alternative if you aren't part of (active) clans.

Ad yes I still miss the Dinger Teambattles. Best thing about them was that it was 'grab your tank & have fun!', leading to some weird tank lineups. And heaps of fun!

Rag-tag band of tankers versus Defender lineup. Who wins?
Scouting in a KV-4, never gets old. And we got 2 scouts here!

Weekends used to be filled with clan based activities such as training room fun, TB, SH or "321go" games. The heady days of old have gone and will never return as those players don't play anymore (least not in the numbers required) and most players are busy with FL, PMs, or RB to take part in team based fun.

I tried to get into a SH game on Friday night (T8) and I searched around from about 1900-2030 (Island time) and found ZERO at the level I want to play (8000+ PR) open to legionnaires and nearly full. :(

Team battles needs to return full stop, whatever went through the mind of the stupid idiots to pull this mode I cannot imagine, there needs to be uproar about it,on the same levels of arty and Defender gold spam.

Sadly we could create polls galore and all that shyte but WG never listens to us, well this branch of it don't:amazed:

My favourite TB tank was the SU-130PM. It would bring many smiles to myself and Jay_Newb.
