The greatest lie of Nvidia and friends lol - Lat's face it. Technology stands still with really small progress in recent years. It is not a hardware solution for RT. Its also quite heavy in terms of energy consumption and the same way, not Eco. Are you not ECO-friendly company WG XD?

I made the test and 10K points loss with ON/OFF RT is not worth it and like I said not ECO.

Don't do that, kids, save the planet. Amen :)

If adding some extra shadows is where WG are at in terms of improving game quality I think they need to go back to the drawing boards.

Nice graphics are just that, nice, but a good involving game never needed fancy graphics to be a good game it was the gameplay itself. I've chucked plenty of visual masterpieces in the bin over the yeas as the game itself was bad or boring. WoT isn't a bad game but there's plenty to do that I think most all would agree would make it a better game and adding some eye candy isn't one of them.

Besides, I'm generally focused on the minimap, where I'm going, the enemy tank, where I'm aiming etc so while the crispness and realism of the tanks shadowing and improved graphics is welcome, it's probably at the bottom of the list in terms of my game priorities and concerns.

We need new normal maps and bot removal, because game is full of them.... but nooooo... lets concentrate on shadow development. Good job WG!

Can we get a video next that explains how an O-I can become invisible mid field when I am fireing at him and have him in my viewrange and how a Srocpion G can remain invible 51 meters awat from me and roll for 600+ ?

If you want to save the planet by not running your graphics card then don't play games or even better leave the computer turned off.

Of course its a hardware soloution. If you want to see what raytracing looks like using the cpu then run up 3dmax and render a complex scene... notice how it runs at less that 60fps...

What nvidia here ?  Nvidia have hardware for ray tracing but need to be 4 time more "tensor core" and "rt cores" that are now to be usable. This is an intel implementation that doesn't use nvidia special hardware.

Ray tracing is the future but 4 time more ray tracing hardware power that 2080 ti have now is needed. Now fps drop hit is way too much for for full ray traced game. Shadows is just a part of ray tracing

Fully agree "Raytracing for the masses" is in its infancy but hardware is now getting to the point where it can be attempted for applications like games and it will only get faster/better more widley adpoted as the hardware gets better. Just like rasterised polygons did in the 1990's

Just as soon as you come up with the video which explains why you don't have a replay of either of those.

I don't mean to sound whiny and as nice as it looks but i'm sure i speak on behalf of many in this game when i say that instead of working on the game looking pretty and all this other little extra content maybe try working on fixing the main issues first because all this minor stuff we can happily wait for, no?

Absolutely but Wg have shown no interest in doing so for years and I don't see them pulling out their finger anytime soon. All they seem interested in doing is churning out premium tanks for the $$$. Pretty graphics at least is some progress even if it is only 'polishing up a turd'.

"When this option is disabled, the FPS of your computer will not change. But when Ray Tracing is on, you will sacrifice some FPS depending on your graphics card."

The art of logic.
