KV1 is a Russian tank with the best armor and everyone keeps destroying it like a medium tank, can you please make KV1 strong again

The KV-1 is still a very good tier 5 heavy but whenever you're bottom tier you can't rely on your armor to save you 100% of the time. You need to be more careful and try to maximize your effective armor by angling, hiding your lower plate, sidescraping or trying not to get shot altogether. Getting shot and by higher tiers is not the way to go.

Which gun are you using on the tank and what equipment do you have?

Just play better lol. Don't rely on your armour except when sidescraping.

KV-1 is a pretty versatile T5 tank. Not the powerhouse it once was but still a decent tank. It is a good tank to learn about how armor works & how to get better with it as it is easy to get the correct angle (angle hull 45 degrees against incoming fire for easy angling)

In your first image they shot you from behind. Rather normal you get penned easy that way as rear armor tends to be weak with most tanks.

Second image; a T6 TD is shooting you. Tank destroyers are meant to take on armored tanks. Guess what happens when you expose yourself to one that's a tier higher. (from map & location, I assume the med hit you flat side on so he gets a pass)

Remember: do not expose yourself needlessly, not even in armored tanks. Make sure your team has spotters ready to spot before you go & expose yourself. And start small. Don't drive out cover mindlessly, or those unspotted TD's will get you fast.

Armored tanks are meant to take a beating others can't, but you still need to put some thought in it. Don't drive out cover & expect to be invulnerable, that way lies death. Rather read the minimap & try to guess where TD's & other high power guns can be hiding if unspotted. Angle up when you expose yourself. Sidescrape first so your well angled sides tanks the shots from impatient players before exposing yourself fully.

When midtier or bottomtier, you have to be much more aware of what the enemy fields & act more as support for your toptier tanks. You're still an armored tank tho & the way MM works you normally still got plenty of targets that will have a hard time with you. Annoy those so your toptiers got an easier time.

Yes, driving armored tanks is more then 'drive & bounce shots'

Just be careful while playing it yeah, as other players said, try to sidescrap or not to expos your tank more than it's needed!

why are your time on these explanations, when the OP does not even understand game basics?
he went from 650 WN8 to 550-something

Pretty much no tank can just sit there and take hits from higher tier tanks without taking damage. Good armour for your tier means you have the potential to bounce incoming fire from certain tanks if you use your armour right, it doesn't mean you can sit there and bounce shots from whatever.

Also, 2nd screen shot, you're surrounded by paper tanks that are fine, perhaps you should ask yourself why they aren't taking hits while you are...

Your screens show it vs tier 6 guns. Did you expect to bounce vs an O-I or a KV-85 head-on? Its armor is good for its tier. But it's still just 75mm at a slight angle. Not much vs a 170 pen tier 6 HT.

To be fair, the only thing I can complain about KV-1 is the 40mm plate on the frontal armour. Not only it get penned by any 122mm gun you find (and you find a lot of them on tier 6 and 7 battles), but it got also nerfed in angles with the HD model not being anymore at autobounce angle. If I had to buff KV-1, I would just buff that plate to 45-50mm and bring it back to autobounce angle. Nothing more is required IMO...

tl,dr: A tier 6 TD could pen my tier 5 HT, WG sucks.

If you don't angle properly, you die.

The problem is really with the player, not the tank. It's still one of the best heavies around those tiers in the game.
