I know heavy tanks can troll anyone at lower tiers with their trollish armour. No one can hurt them, they don't even need to stay out of sight to stay safe, they can walk right in front of you and if you are lower tier you cannot do anything about them even with gold sometimes. I have seen a top tier heavy tank appear on one flank and everyone leaves and goes out of sight, without even them being SPGs.

So what does a heavy tank bring into the game other than trolling other players?

Considering that the average heavy tank player is way worse than me, mostly more HP for me to farm I guess :P:hiding:.

On serious note though, depending of it's design it has different uses, like the 705A, it is clearly z defensive tank, unlike the IS-7 that's mostly an assault gun, or E 100, which is not about tanking a corner but bully other tanks with it's alpha, and so on. In general, heavies are the main force to defend or push an attack with the support of mediums and TDs artas. This is why they get more armor, big guns, more HP that all other classes.

It depends on where they are. If you go to his territory, as in the corridors. Most non-armored tanks don't want to fight him, as he will troll others. But once that HT pushes past the HT lane and has to cross the open towards the base, he is in the realm of the mobile tanks or range fighters. And then they bully him. As you could make the same topic about them and ask why armored sluggers avoid them. As you can see on Lakeville when they go towards town. If they take the short route along the lake to town, they die instantly, and they can't troll town.

Look at the mobility that the clanreward tanks have, its seems that WG is removing themselfs from beeing a lard-game to some fastpaced one-in-a-million shooter game. Ofc they are failing but who cares its just to move on.

Some heavy tanks bring everything every other class can do, just better and easier.

On the more serious side, they bring the raw pushing/stopping power on most maps, if played properly.

When you get bored of dying in mediums, bored of dying in lights, bored of dying is TDs and bored of dying in arty it gives you something new to die in.

Higher tier HTs spend the first 3 or 4 mins moving to the HT choke point.

Fire a few shots, side scrape a bit then lose 75% of your HP after a few minutes because the arty targets you above everything else.
