Since i'm a noob and dont grinding in the british tech tree at all (i stopped at tier 4 matilda for now)...that's why i choose FV from referral program and after 80+ battles i can say just wow...

the tank is the most accurate high tier tank that i have in my garage by some distance...

playing hull-down is really comfortable with that bouncy reliable turret...(centurion looks better but i dont have it and dont think to grind that british medium tree since i focused on soviet medium and american heavy lines...)

the standard penetration is great...

ground resistance and agility is quite enough to flank an enemy or to change sniping positions...

I really love it...maybe its the only Tier 8 premium tank i have LOL :D

Steer away from the Cent 5/1, then, or else...

Glad you like the FV. It's accurate and mobile but its DPM and gun handling are lacking a bit.

If you don't mind, i'd like to comment on the lines you chose to grind. The K-91 and the E5 lines are not the best at higher tiers. You might want to stop at tier 7, the T29, for the american heavies and at tier 8, the 416, for the K-91 line. The tanks after that are not that good as you witnessed yourself by playing the M103.

Best Russian medium line is the 430U or the 140. The 430U got a lot more armor but its gun is not as accurate. For heavies you can get the IS-7 or the Super Conqueror (also a hull down tank but much better than the E5).

The FV is nice but gradually falling out of the current meta

The centurion 5/1 is his big brother

I got my FV from the referral as well, I played it, then sold it after 22 battles.

I kinda liked the mobility and accuracy, but I suffered with the turret.... it's really annoying to see that other T8 and some tier 7s go through your turret by standard ammo...

It's good as a sniper, but not good to learn heavy medium tanks gameplay which I like.

Hard accuracy is good but it's soft stats are meh. Plus the shell velocity is nothing special.

Your mind will also explode if you ever buy a T-44 100.

it would be cool if they would buff it properly to at least keep up better with meta and powa-creep.

(This increases the skill-cap for the old tanks; but that's not new player friendly.)

The same old pre-op premiums are still the permanent tanks offered for sale in the premium shop;

I guess they want owners of the obsolete ( nominally 'buffed';)  to purchase the new and new meta premium equivalents.... this backfires as you just deter and lose older casuals and beginners.

And its one of the worst premium meds. Imagine playing actually something proper.

Love mine. Got it when it was the old tier 10.

Lets be honest, it's outclassed by the RAAC, as well as the Centurion 1 when fully tricked out but I still like it. I earned it so I guess that's why I'm a little biased.

I wish the top of the turret was a little better at bouncing. They buffed the Centurions turret (IIRC) but this one got left behind.

Anyhow, I'm glad someone appreciates a tank that isn't on the 'go to' list.

I have a lot of tier 8 premium tanks and FV4202 is my favorite premium medium tank too and I have T-44-100 and Progetto. I really like its trollish upper front plate that saved my life many times. I always wanted to try tier 10 variant of FV4202 but it got replaced before I could put my hands on it and than I lost interest in british medium tanks.

I dont have it, but i played 10 battles in 5/1

SuperPershing has stronger turret for same speed and worst gun

T-44-100 is more versatile

other russians are better than english premium MTs

I absolutely love the FV (please give back the tier 10). But, it is and always will be outperformed by most of it's competitors. And that after, what is it now, five buffs? But hey, FV <3

iirc, it's my most played, or one of the most played tanks.

I bought it years back when WG put it into the store the first time, and i liked it.

The gun was very accurate, the turret bouncy, the mobility with 35kph top speed, a lawnmover engine and ground resistances like a obelisk.

This tank gave me my very first Steel Wall medal.

When WG buffed it, i stopped playing it, dunno why.
