why? so that i can tell my team exactly where you shot me from?

in context of World of Tanks spotting mechanics i have to say: No.

Well of course it wouldn't mean an unspotted tank would trigger a kill replay...that's silly.

I like the thing War Thunder did, a short killcam where you can see in detail where your shot hit the enemy, and where the enemy's killshot hit you.

That however also reveals what critical damage was done...so instead it could just show the impact point and angle of attack. Should the Eagle Eye perk show crits? Yes.

I like the idea but...not the CoD kind of replay.

ye but in that case it would not offer anything to the game. (the only use for CoD kill cams is to locate where that camper shot you from so you can hot box that area in the next minute. and that final kill cam because everyone wants to be featured in that.)

This works in WT because the enemy is always spotted. And you get constant info from the server about targets and their shell paths etc. Here you don't get constant info about enemy targets for it to work as well, besides the hit location vs the exact shell path etc if they are not spotted. As that info is not sent for a reason. It was before, and we all know how well that went.

No for me. I often just want to get back to the garage a.s.a.p. when I get killed.

I don't know how that is implemented but it sounds like a terrible thing to happen while still in battle. It's not like the game is going to pause so that you can have a second and detailed look at your kill. :D

They can always add a "press X to skip option"

06:07 Added after 0 minute

You're not still in battle if you see a replay of someone killing you

Or a checkbox in general settings, that would be better

mechanics are already broken, because of the hit direction indicator.

There is also pubg version where you see about half-minute of killing player's action to the killshot, but cannot re-enter battle anymore.

It wouldn't stop from using external comm apps to communicate the position etc to platoonmates tho.

Well, in WT it's a small pop-up window in the corner of your HUD which you can see during gameplay. Watch any WT tank video and you'll see what I mean, it's a useful feature, like that mod for WoT where you can see each shell's impact point and angle, except in real-time, in-game, not after it.

It shouldn't activate when the unspotted tank hits you, but WT does things differently as mentioned above. It can be adapted to work in WoT, and much like everything else, should be an option, not an always-there thing.
