Hi Tankers, I am close to finish first refferal program in WOT, And I can't decide which tank to pick, I Know the + and - of 112 and AMX And I think to pick 112 because i like heavy playstyle, close combat, I know for the lack of Pen but it is play like IS 3  right? :P AMX is better in every single point in tanks gg comparison but it is not forgiving for new player, and that horrible cupola ot top.... I will be glad if someone that have exp in 2 tanks to share some thoughts. :medal:

The AMX maybe better but it does see tier 10 tanks unlike the 112 which got PMM. Pick the 112 first then the AMX or the other way around. It doesn't really matter since you can have both. :)

I have AMX M4 49, and I got 60% WR with it.

The frontal armour is absolutely perfect and it's hard to pen even for T9s and some T10s.

And if you won't YOLO in with it, you'll enjoy it.

112 I haven't play with it, but it has weak armour and pen, unless you fire HEAT most of the time.

112 has very good armour and whilst the standard pen isn't great it's adequate for most things and you've got 250mm HEAT that can comfortably deal with everything else.

I remember a moment that I penetrated it's side track while he was straight behind the cover(the stone on Fjord, HTs spot).

Right between the tracks and the hull roof.

But I still don't know exactly.

The 112 is IMO a massively under rated tank, people write it off because of the low pen, but it has 250 pen HEAT when needed which for seeing max tier 9 tanks is most of the time more than enough (many regular tier 8 tanks that see tier 10 have worse premium pen).

Plus it has amazing armour for a tier 8 heavy, flat on, no angling the lower plate is about 200 effective, the upper plate is about 240 effective, the turret front is at worst 250 effective with most of it due to the rounding being 300 effective plus. It has two cupola's, but neither is very big, they are rounded to quite troll and they are still about 170-180 effective even if you hit the right spot.

You then have 100 - 130mm side armour (most of the 100mm is protected by tracks or spaced armour), meaning you are able to angle the tank in the open at about 25 degrees and your lower plate becomes about 235 effective, upper plate 250+ plus.

It also has 6 degrees of gun depression not 5 like most Soviet heavies, 380m view range not 350 like an IS-3 and it goes 45kph as well.

The gun is derpy and inaccurate of course, but you have 390 alpha with nearly 2k base DPM and with that armour you can get really close.

One got lucky shot doesn't really equate to the armour being bad.

I've used 112 to complete a couple of those bounce x amount damage missions because the armour holds up very well and at worst you're only seeing tier 9. Get yourself into a tier 6 game and you're largely immune to fire.

I got 112, after 2 games :D in it, pen is not a problem in mid to long range, but armor... it is not that good or everybody shoot gold in 8-9 games  :justwait:

p.s I like it
