I understand most don't care while others are still criticizing.

Nevertheless, coming forward with being unable to deliver the game mode that has been promised...

It was probably hard: the director himself stepped out of the building to make the announcement - metaphorically speaking - so I can only imagine it let a bitter taste. I reckon WG itself likes this holiday in particular.

I'll probably come of as condescending as I struggle to find more suitable wording but despite the sea of pointing fingers at Minsk, I don't think the teams should be disappointed or disheartened at all. If the community does act like so it's because WG can do better: we've all seen it at any given point. When the community stops caring and no longer contributes in a meaningful supportive way that you have a serious issue at hands.

We or you haven't gotten there.

HTML is the only programming language I can more or less understand (if that's even a "programming" or a "language" at all) so I can relate there was a tremendous effort involved.

And although there's no need to bury the axe and scrap the event, as many are now suggesting, you can postpone it and release it where there's time. I'm sure plenty of players would welcome receiving something improved at a later stage regardless.

Carrying on with the current programme without offering something (we're not talking about gold, PA, goodies or similar rewards here) to look forward to, might leave a void people will fill with speculations. Though you know this by now.

Generally speaking, you've been doing a good job. Don't let a single spot ruin your record.

Thank you, Wargaming.net staff. Have a nice weekend.

Don't give up. Let's plan for the Halloween event for Easter!

I'd love to see the finished product of what you were working on.

Footfalls echo in the memory
Down the passage which we did not take
Towards the door we never opened
Into the rose-garden. My words echo
Thus, in your mind.
                              But to what purpose
Disturbing the dust on a bowl of rose-leaves
I do not know.

i hate to say it, While i would've liked to see a new special mode. With ranked on atm. I barely have enough time to put aside for that mode, let alone another.

We have had so many specials, new modes and events in the past few months. And anyone who is really complaining seriously about this needs to stop being so entitled.

At least they accepted it wasn't up to the expected quality and were man enough to make the hard decision to cancel. If this was Bethesda they'd have just shovelled it out the door regardless, probably as pay walled DLC.

Worst thing about that is its 100% true.

I miss the good o' days where Bethesda was respectable, Now they're just as bad as EA

Maybe make it accessible only as part of a season pass as that’s what the players really wanted?

But..... October is when the number of new players and the number of registered players playing goes up over the "winter" period. But at the moment October was the lowest number of new players and playing players since ever.
