Well, I have now given Tier X a fair try but my stats say it all:

  • Mauschen 55% wr
  • Maus 42% wr

Time I think to sell the Maus and put the crew back in the Mauschen

It's been an interesting experiment.  I had sort of expected Tier X players to be better

I've had that kind of trash-tier winrate at the end of a few grinds myself (most recently the M103), sure the teams have been embarrassingly poor in recent times but it was on me as well (and the tank being UP in the current meta but that's a bonus).

tl;dr - one can blame the teams only so much.

Totally agree. As I player I'm mediocre at best, so Tier X was an experiment I expected to end in failure.

What surprised me was not that I lost because of me (which I had expected) but that the Tier X general level of competence was quite low.

36 battles is hardly a fair try. Slow, rear mounted turret, requires angling heavy tank on 35 maps each with 2 spawns.

Plus credit losses can be considerable

My own alternative was to stick at Tier 8 and pimp my favourite tonks up with food and use more prammo

You still make losses at times but it balances out better in the long run IMO

T10 is one of the hardest tiers to ever play. Seriously, when jump from 9 to 10, it'll be like if you were playing T7 then suddenly you play 9!

All the players just change.

And don't forget the MM, tier 8 and tier 9 both have best MM but for T10? Broken! And also there's a lot of broken tanks as well. :D

Win rate means nothing.
Specifically 30 battles, you just had a streak of bad teams.

My 430U sits in the garage and the only reason it hasn't been dumped is the loss of 3 million credits

Got a well trained 140 crew cluttering up some bunks too

Bad teams at T10 are even more common than at T8 and the tier isn't worth the cost or effort

If I needed bonds I took it out but now I just look at it and grimace

Maybe one day it will be a goto tank

edit: (I'd rather play my CDC which I bought back this AM)

I personally think Tier 10 is broken due to the BS amount of OP tanks. I don't find Tier 10 enjoyable at all.

Tier 9 however,   I have the AMX 30, PTA., 7/1, 55A, that all seem to be pretty well balanced.  Tier 9 is the new Tier 10 for me. Until WG fk this tier over as well

52% average winrate is not "mediocre", it's above average (47-49%) and certainly above tomato (45% or less).

Anyway, given how this game is designed, there is no tier restrictions so with enough dedication anyone can get any Tier 10 tank, even if they have to "fail their way" to the top (as was my case with the M103 as already mentioned, I really hope the E5 is a significant upgrade and worth the grind). I too used to think that the higher you went, the better the players became, then I learned firsthand that that is absolutely untrue.

Also, as shown in the graph posted by IntruderFI, you did well in terms of WN8 so yeah, I agree with him - streak of bad teams. Maybe wait a bit before downgrading to the Mauschen?

WoT have broken Tier 10 and now they seem to be focussed upon breaking tier 9 with stuff like this Obj752

Got a lot of tier 10 tanks and hardly play them, of those I tend to play the Interesting or Broken ones depending on perspective much more than the rest.

Tanks such as the Type 5 Heavy, FV4005 stage II,  FV215b 183, AMX 50 Foch 155 and B

Have another 12 barely played and 4 or 5 unlocked but never bought though I do intend to unlock every tank in the game.

I really do hate the idea of losing several thousand credits per game even if we win and I do not do that badly.

Unless I take no damage I lose credits and that's with a premium account.

Playing mostly tier 8 with some tier 9 I do ok not great but ok

Still see players and teams doing extremely silly things in tier 10 tanks and its not always me

I have a 55% winrate in 170 battles with my jg.pz e100 although i only have 1700 avg damage, which is terrible. Keep playing and it'll even out, youre doing well!

it isnt that T10 players are better, it is that t10 gameplay is megaaids and everyone just camps... so if you want to have good wr at t10 you have to camp harder and play more like a pussy than them. In t10 games you simply cant be the guy that does the first move but always have to be the guy that punishes enemies for trying to play the game. And since i dont find "reactionary" gameplay fun i dont play t10 because id rather play the game and try to make something happen than play a game of who gets bored of camping the slowest.

It's more like a tiers 9 can sometimes bully tiers 7 and will always have a minority of tiers 10.

Playing tiers 10 you have to cope with the best players at the best tiers with the best tanks.

Tiers 8 premiums like projettos and skorpG can easily deal with a tiers X.

Probbly why they came up with the 279e

Something which can make a move against the epidemic of campers
