If you encounter any bugs, please send me a PM with a full description of it, so that I can forward it through, thanks!

Even if you have game center installed you can launch wot directly from its .exe file without initializing game center at all. You will literally never see gc window. Why do bobs cry so much?

Look and behold, WG for once makes a logical decision and yet a horde of people come here to cry

[old launcher] that is functioning perfectly (updating and running the game)

Please take a moment and think this through. Why does it still function perfectly? Software simply doesn't fix itself. The reason it's still functioning perfectly is because WG has been forced to maintain 2 launchers in parallel up to this point. That's a total waste of time, since as soon as they want to make a change, they have to change it in not only 1 place but in 2 places. Canceling the deprecated launcher is thus completely logical. I can't blame them, I would have done the same thing.

When the Game launches

Could you please forward the feedback that it would be nice if we could start the 64-bit version of WoT from the launcher? :great:

another crap to consume memory in background

There's an option in the WGC to close the application after you've launched a game.

I QUIT.

Ok, so you're gonna quit the game, not because of the game, but because there's a new launcher? Hmm let's see: 54657.

I've used the WGC for quite some time now and to be honest, I havn't found a single bug in the last year or so. Actually, if we compare WoT and WGC, then WoT is the application full of bugs.

I have been using WGC since the last installation. I haven't met any bugs.

Do the players need to re-install the game for use the WGC or it is enough to install only the GC?

You just need to install WGC, the games already installed can be imported without any additional installation :great:

why are people so mad???? you can still launch the game via desktop.... and having all WG titles in one place makes sense, its like people dont want it to be organised?
all they're doing is borderline altering the way the launcher looks when you look at it properly..

Why is it so difficult for WG to understand, WE DO NOT WANT THIS LAUNCHER!!!!!.

I have tried this and never again it creates so much problems and if this being forced on me then I must serious think about what I am going todo if I will continue to be using wg games.

Realistically though, how much maintenance does this launcher require? If it's properly programmed, which I assume, it gets the patch info from an external source, it get's all the news articles from an external source, it gets the premium shop offers from an external source so when you have the framework done, the actual framework takes pretty much no maintenance anymore. All these external sources should, in a well thought out environment, be the same source for both the launcher and WGC.

Only thing that should ideally take maintenance is custom artwork for articles or premium shop offers.

I've been using the gamecenter for quite some time.

I see no reason why wargamming shouldn't procede with this step. Gamecenter runs ok and flawless, at least for me.

Ah yes, the launcher that has been in my installation folder since Closed-Beta, that is functioning perfectly (updating and running the game) needs to be retired for functions I do not need or asked for (outside updating and running the game).

It's a shame, but at least I'll still have the CBT patch-notes files in my installation directory, or will that folder also be murdered for no good player-side reason?

Over the years I've copied my original CBT install folder to various new machines, without the need to install anything, just boot up the launcher and the game works fine. Wondering this is will still be the case with the new WGC?

Also a bit worried about the amount of premium-store spam and room reserved for "selling stuff" seems to be in the new launcher.

That's 5-6 battles a day, which is not nothing, but if he only plays mostly the weekends, it's a fair amount. Not all of us have unlimited time to spend playing WoT whenever we like and some like Cobra and I post during the day because they can't commit to a full 15 minutes playing at such times, but posting can be done with no commitment and takes seconds or a minute at the most.

It's thousands of hours of release team's and QA team's work preparing and checking every single patch for the game, worldwide for all regions. The software itself does not require maintenance. Running a live service on it does and it takes a lot of resources, which could be spent in a more useful way.
