Yuuup, rip old launcher, you were perfectly adequate...and that was the problem.
WGC is annoying and does stupid things in the background even if you tell it to shut up. What further proves the fact that this is a stupid idea is the link to the article with OCTOBER in it instead of NOVEMBER.

Don't use it then if it offends your sensibilities. Unless you want to update, keep opening the game through the exe file.

The old one was forced in your face too as such. But just as a built-in system vs a separate one. I don't see the big issue tbh. You don't even need it running to start or play the game. Or even have it run when windows start. Just to update the game if needed "that will be often some weeks".
I mean considering how many years some players took the same crap from the game, ragining about it for years and still stuck around. And this will make them leave? Well...

It's not only annoying. It s invasive. And thats y indeed, if tommorrow it fails to launch as usual - it means that it s getting uninstalled. Thankx WG for helping with this long due decision. Freakin glass walls, screwed up meta, crappy maps, world of cars - all and the many drops to fill the cup of patience.
Finally time for some good CSGO gaming without distraction on this p2w bs

I have it on my desktop in full auto do what it wants mode and on my laptop in do what I say when I say mode and it behaves perfectly.
I did run the old luncher on my laptop with WGC on my desktop in the early days of WGC but as WGC improved I decided to go with the better system.

Probably not, I mean this is the same mentality that complains how terribly optimised it is when their operating system allocates 80% of their available RAM to applications as tho it's somehow desirable to have half your memory permanently unused. If you're not going to use it why install it in the first place?

Um, I was using WGC even before they announce, maybe for 2-3 month?... nothing special about it, all I do is to run the game then close it before my game show up on screen.
Seriously people, what's going on? Whining threads 24/7, and for what? WGC....
