... or rather, we got it for free. Now what? I.e. what would you do at this moment?

Hope for the ELC or 12t to make a spotting run on the 5 line to dig out some of their basecampers.

Hope for the Churchill to go help the city

Be ready to fall back when the enemy all shows up in the city

Blindfire the bushes a little to the left where you are aiming now

If you move 50 meters south, you can also move a little closer (eastwards) to the enemy base. It's more than likely there are so base campers, so now the lights 'have to' move through the middle, under the bridge, to get below the ridge/base. If there are still enemy light tanks in bushes in the field, your team has to be very careful.

Firing some shots in the bushes on the red line in the base is a good idea.

The guy with the most view range and/or fastest tank drives via the buildings to the next ridge so he's closer to the enemy base and can potentially spot snipers on the ridge.

If the guy doesn't spot anything or isn't getting shot, he moves up to the bush cover near the river.

You also hope that the lights are finally going to do their jobs from the middle and actually start spotting something.

You don't need lights for this, just do the run with any tank that goes at least 45 km/h.

Risky with that tank...someone might throw a few bread crumbs in the water and then you're down a tank while the duck is feasting on bread in the river.

The duck abides.

A light or a fast medium can go through these red circles to spot the snipers in the enemy base...

Spoiler

You do this early in battle and the enemy must retreat from the city to protect their base and now they're in a cross fire. If your team lost the city you might want to do the same and go back to defend. If the enemy team is smart they can make your job attacking their base much harder by creating a cross fire. From A7 to C9/D9

At that tier though, the acceleration on mediums is rather garbage as is the camo. Between Tier 5 and 8, lights are king in terms of mobility and camo/viewrange though.

It was stock and I looked at the lineup and thought press that R key and sit back and see what happens. Trundling across the battlefield I was waiting to be shot but nope. I did have to press the A key a couple of times to get myself back on track. Got to the cap and still waiting and still nope.

Who says capping is a bad idea.

Lake will eat up some of their speed vs lights etc if they go in the open. And they will be spotted way sooner going down the A lane straight up. But at that tier when A2 is ignored like that by the other team. They usually go to the A-line bush vs sitting B7 or C8 etc. My Cromwell and T67 has gone under that bridge and straight for B6 to spot their TD's more or less every time. The only thing you need to keep in mind is if the E9 campers pay attention or not. As in aiming at town or not. And at that tier, it's usually town.
