There's already a function to set up training rooms for that.

no, this is different than training room, because with this feature, you'll be able to drive without needing to invite anyone or enter any player as enemy.

No this is what I'm talking about

They can make a mode where you can drive the tank that you choose and they can make the map like an army base or something, or only a field where you can drive and test your tank and shoot targets or a clone of your tank

Before the issue has always been... servers. As those games you shown don't have a 100K peak most days to make it a big issue for players to run solo rooms. It's why WOT console has solo modes too, as they have the room for it. As having 1K testing tanks in solo rooms, takes as many rooms as getting 30K in battle. It's past solo modes like the old tutorial even had a low population cap vs unlimited.

Tho with the new structure I suspect it's less of an issue vs 5 years ago. But still I would be willing to bet if we had it now. I suspect it would be capped, and there would be a line for it some days early on.

Not necessarily a test drive mode, but more like a shooting ground/driving polygon-type of map.

For purposes such as

  • testing dispersion at ranged targets
  • testing a tank's traverse rate on each type of ground
  • testing acceleration/other maneuvering traits
  • testing stability on rough terrain
  • slalom for light tanks
  • jumps and ramps to test suspension durability

Basically, a warm-up area to get to know your tank better.

Maybe it shouldn't be free? To encourage faster learning. 5k credits per trial? Sounds fair.

Yes but why it shouldn't be free, it's free in Crossout, you already pay for a lot of stuff in the game

I play XO, so I know what you mean.

But PPP has a point. There needs to be a cap on the things and I suspect putting a paywall of some sort would be the logical choice (not necessarily a VISA paywall).

On the other hand, in XO, you only need to pay once to speed up the grind. From there you can just play the Market.

While we're on the subject: a player-driven Market would be nice to see in WoT, though its infrastructure makes it quite unlikely it will ever happen.

Yes the game should really be more player friendly

I wanted to suggest just that, as well :)

Would love to see this added to the game, wouldnt mind a credit paywall.

People keep saying the training room but it is flawed,in WOW's you can program Ai to an extent in a training room, here you cannot, you have to rely on some other dude, and finding someone who is willing is not easy,we need a map exploration, familiarisation mode too,but alas,WG don't even heed what goes on in here so all are moot points really

Like, a test drive run for tanks that you want to unlock but aren't sure if you'll like them?

Yea, I wouldn't mind such a feature.

-To test out new maps. Yes I know you can do it on the Test Server or Sandbox, but you need to get into a game or training room, like we have on the normal servers.

Not to test new maps, to test the tank you choose in the garage before you start a match

it's something that would benefit players and perhaps provide better gameplay for those not familiar with a tank which is why WeeGee will never do it

Training room requires you to have another player, unlike WOW's where you can sort of program the AI in the training room, good luck getting players to join training room, this game desperately needs a co op mode similar to WoW's, one or tow randoms just make me quit in rage.

Well this thread seems to have been swiftly forgotten...even with such convincing poll results, and I hope it's not due to Nuke's "witty forumite" reply and qpranger's seal of approval on the OP...

Please WG, don't miss this thread.
