I have had a 144Hz monitor for a couple of months, and its a HUGE difference in gameplay, in every game, but in WOT I dont get the same experience, not at all.

All fast pace games is butter smooth, and if I now game on a 60Hz, its almost unplayable. Thats how big of a difference it really is.

On to WOT:

It looks like crap!
Its 60Hz gaming

My monitor says its running at 144Hz

My ingame FPS is in the 200 range

So what the h.... is going on?

Im getting dizzy and almost sea sick from playing WOT.
EVERY ohter game is silky smooth and a whole new experience on 144Hz.

WOT is like playing on my old 60Hz again...

Any ideas?

I have tried with and without vertical sync, looks the same

I have tried the g-sync both on and off, looks the same

I have tinkered with settings in Nvidia Control Panel, doesnt do anything (refresh rate & vsync)

The ingame graphic setting of display refresh rate doesnt look any different if I set 144, 120 or 60

Any ideas??

Its unplayable now that Im used to 144Hz gaming :(

BTW:

YES!!! 144Hz is a big deal! Its a VERY big difference.
I even put up my old monitor to see if I was halucinating, other games looks awful - almost unplayable at 60Hz, same with WOT,
Problem is WOT looks the same crap on 60Hz and 144Hz

Heeeeeeeeelp!!

Its ruining my game :(

Spec:

i3-8100

16GB RAM

MSI 1060 6GB Gaming X

Asus 24" 144Hz monitor

I run at settings giving me 200ish FPS (to be sure its more than the refresh rate of the monitor)
SD client

Have you tried HD client? If not give it a try, you won't get 200 FPS though not unless you lower some of the settings, but the graphics are so much better.

Thanks for your reply

Yes I have been tinkering a lot, and Im now at:

HD client

1920x1080

All fancy smanchy settings at it lowest/off

- Only settings that are not on its lowest or off is: Texture quality, Draw distance, render resolution, field of view - they are at max

G-sync ON

Vsync off (of coz)

Full screen or windowed doesnt show any difference, so Im at windowed(borderless)

In Nvidia panel:

anti aliasing off

Refresh rate: highest available

Its a bit better, but it does NOT look like a 144Hz refresh, like in other games

However, and this is weird (or maybe not?)

The Encore demo looks very good when I can push it to 144fps or better (lowering settings, I think the "medium" default settings and RT off).

At 60fps it looks like the current WOT = crap

So there IS HOPE! In the future:D
