I am on my way down the Grille 15 line and I will be unlocking the Rhm.-Borsig Waffenträger soon. My problem is that I can't decide which gun to use? I have over 1000+ battles in Skorpion G and I know how to use the 128mm gun. But the 15cm gun has 750 alpha on tier 8.

What will you - the community recommend? I watch tons of amazing replays and it's 50/50. Half play the 128 the other 150mm.

When i first played through the tank i used the 128mm as it's more reliable in terms of penetration and accuracy. Now i tend to dust it off once in a while and use the 150mm but with a healthy dose of the 2 key and some HE shells for any paper tanks.

15cm, spam HEAT or HE and you'll have crazy damage rolls.

128mm, good sniper and good DPM plus better gun handling.

128 is most reliable i would say, good combo of pen, alpha, handling and reload. 15cm can have it days but way too situational as it pretty much trades everything for high alpha

The 128 mm is the reliable gun that I prefer to use especially as paper TD.

The 150 mm is a devastating gun for both sides. The low penetration on AP requires more use of HEAT and HE. In addition you are less accurate and have a much lower shell velocity (920/1150 m/s vs. 645/ 516 m/s). But as you cant really shine in long range engagements with this gun I see it more as a Paper KV-2 with strong HEAT.

Guess the 12.8cm is for serious gameplay, getting in the right bushes and sniping people, while the 15cm is for the LOLs and that "I don't care about your tier" that only high caliber HE shells can give you. ;)

128 all the way,  DPM and accuracy over shotgunning close range

The 128mm on Borsig has better RoF than Skorp G but not that big of a difference. It's not like RNG doesn't fook me over any tank, I've tried the 15cm and hated it.

I'm not a super player (at all) at tier VIII+, with many vehicles in the top tiers struggling with WR or sold, and lines abandoned.

The Rhm Borsig remains a firm favourite of mine, however, with 474 battles, 54.96% WR, 1392 average damage and 1410 Wn8.

Since researching it, I've played exclusively with the 12.8cm and have never tried the 15cm for reasons given. To paraphrase Arnold Schwarzenegger: "If it pens, we can kill it".

Only got the borsig recently, I've played loads of battles in Skorpion/G, and the 128mm is a great gun, it's definitely the better one to use. A bit like the Conway with the 120/5.5".

However, I played one game in the borsig with the 150mm the other night, when you pen the LOLs are worth it. I one-shot an 850hp Sturer Emil with an AP shell from about 450m, needed to give it plenty of lead, but when he went up I let out a laugh.

As Circon described it: "Little gun for consistency, big gun for the memes."

150mm, the 128 is pointless because you can just buy a Skorp G which is then a faster, more flexible Borsig with the 128.

The 150mm is what makes the Borsig unique, you have 750 alpha on tier 8 with a turret, that is massively powerful if you know what you are doing and aren't squeamish about using HEAT.

Sure if you want to be boring and camp in the back sniping use the 128, if you want to versatile and a scary threat, play more actively (and IMO have way more fun) use the 15cm.

128mm if you're F2P player or prefer reliability. 150mm if you don't mind loading HEAT and derping it across the map for the resulting lulz.

It depends on your play-style, 128 is for sniping only, but if you like a more aggressive approach, you can use the 150 and fight a bit closer, but due to bad pen and accuracy it lacks in the snipping role, also it's more expensive because it will require more premium ammo to work well. But all in all the 128 might be more reliable, and the 150 more hilarious and mostly a meme gun. For consistency I'd say go with the 128, the big gun is more for memes than effectiveness.

I don't know, but on the tier 9 WT I would definitely choose the 128.

128mm for sure, simply the more reliable gun.

Close call and maybe a few factors to consider your decision, agree with above points made already. The Borsig is tragically slow and you sort of have to commit to where you go on a map, lacking the ability to safely relocate or the ability to get there on time so it depends on what playstyle you want to go with as they are totally different. The sniper gun is probably a bit more reliable overall because it reloads faster, faster shell speed, better aim time and accuracy so you will get some consistent damage but the thing about eh Borsig, with so many small maps and city maps, you might only ever get the chance to make 2 or 3 shots before getting crushed its better that those 3 shots are 2,250 damage instead of 1,570... I mean, if you only averaged that every battle that's not bad for a tier8 right?

Sniper gun is for all targets, derp is for big fat slow dumb dumbs and plebs that don't mind being spotted without moving afterwards.... of which there are many lol. Sniper is more F2P friendly with better pen while the derp is more P2W with big 2 key pen. Either gun is ok but the derp is more fun and bites off more flesh which as mentioned, if you are only getting in a few shots per battle due to its tragic super heavy mobility, is better that its 750 instead of 490 plus the derp is a much lighter gun and makes the tank notably faster(or less slow to be more accurate)

Edit- I didn't vote btw. The choice is a personal thing and factors involved so it's definitely a playstyle and game credit decision.

My most significant experience with the vehicle consists of sneaking up on one in a LT during Frontlines, and pushing it off a cliff to its' doom. One of the few kills I had so far that I actually remember. :teethhappy:

That said: if I was going up that line of sniper TDs, this would be the point where I'd be getting bored of the same old playstyle all the time and I would pick the Big Gun for variation, knowing I'd go back to the sniping on tiers 9 and 10 again.

12,8cm gun is the best pick IMHO, it's the stock gun as well so no need to spend free exp or deal with awful stock grinds. Also, it's more appropriate given the Borsig is a paper sniper.

The 15cm is for HEAT tryhards.
