Hi all,

just unlocked my first tier 10 tank today thanks to TotT.

so I was wondering what are the benefits of this vehicle over it's tier 9 predecessor?

I also like to shoot at range, making use of the flanks and those green and white range circles so was curious about fitting options and possible play style options.

More penetration, HP and better mobility.

Same armor, DPM, accuracy and gun handling as the tier 9.

The E50m is a bit outdated but still got its moments. The turret front is bad (about 195mm effective) so you need to keep your distance without being too far away from the fight. If you didn't buy it yet, my advice is don't and stay with the tier 9. The E50 is the best in this line tier for tier. A fully upgraded E50 in a tier 10 battle is more useful than a E50m matched up against a 430U.

surely it has more hit points than it's Tier 9 predecessor?

I enjoyed much much more the E50M. E50 feels like you HAVE to shoot gold to make it work.

Plus he said he bought this first tX so ...

Play it like a sniper and everything will be ok.

And it's a great ramming machine for the late brawling.

Unlocked is not bought so there is still hope i think. Shooting gold is part of playing higher tiers whether you like it or not. The tier 9 is the better tank tier for tier.

Ok ;) but still I think E50M is the best.

Anyway it's no harm to keep them both (I did btw).

No harm at all and nothing out there to say you shouldn't prefer one tank over another. Take a look at these...

E50 (last 3 months)

E50m (last 3 months)

Keep in mind that the E50m got no stock grind which lowers the E50 curve even more. Hard to justify 6.1 million credits (4.3 with the ToT discount) for that performance outside of personal preference. Factor in that it's his first tier 10 and you can understand my opinion about buying the E50m. He is also very close to getting the IS-7 which is far more forgiving.

Give consideration to keeping or rebuying the E50.

I'm not a fan of T10 MM and find T9 much more fun, still feels like a lot of T9 games are split between T8 and T9.

Sure the E50 might need a bit of gold to pen some tanks but it's otherwise great for its tier.

ok, so i haven't bought it yet and i usually keep all of my tanks unless i really hate them. i feel from your comments that the Tier 10 has some merits but that you probably have to alter your play style, i had this problem with the russian T-44 medium tank and i just hate it, i'm always getting primaried and taken out very early on... pity really as i wanted to the T-54.

i agree with sniping with it, and i get a lot of in-game calls of being a bot and that i should be at so and so square with some furious map pinging going on... usually by someone killed in the first 2 minutes of the game LOL

I also bought E50M recently and I see this as a massive upgrade from E50.

It can snipe, for sure, but can also take in some brawling when I use its armour correctly. Mobile enough, I feel more potent as a close assistance fire unit than a sniper. Take a look at yt vids to learn how to angle. I also feel much less negative than E50 (standard pen is significantly higher) when shooting.
