Best:

LeFH18B2 - Even the worst noob should have a better kill to loss ratio with this SPG

PzB2 - Pref MM means it mostly sees tier 3s which it can seal club to death with ease, just remember to bring some prammo for the tier 4s....

Locust - Not that great in any respect but fun to play thanks to its high speed and decent gun (for a t3)

Worst:

SU100Y - A house on tracks and handles like one. High alpha gun (if it ever hits), everything else about it is dog crap.

TOG 2 - Everyone spots you and targets you. If the enemy team have 3 arty you may as well desert. I doubt there are more than a handful of TOG players who have caused more damage than they've received in it.

LT-432 - By all accounts this is a good LT but I just cannot make it work. Probably more down to my lack of skill and the fact it sees tier 10s more often than not.

Best:

Cromwell B - Arguably the most versatile tier 6 prem around. Even in a +2 game. Great hybrid flanker/bully/scout med.

Progetto 46 - Another rather versatile medium. And the clip gun helps in a pinch if you are up vs a higher HP target if you go 1 by 1 first on the shots. Great income machine

CDA 105 - Mobile, good camo, high pen, high alpha. Don't struggle too badly in a +2. But don't like to get hit regardless. Not a style for everyone tho.

Worst:

T34 - Arguably the worst tier 8 HT premium. Highest pen, but nothing else to brag about. Terrible gun handling, low DPM and not really that strong anymore.

Pz IV S - Would have been a good tier 5 prem. But at tier 6 facing the odd tier 8 game. It's terrible, and its carry ability is below zero most matches.

Pz IV Hydrostat - Got mine via some Razor gear long ago. Was worthless back then, It's still not good in the current meta. Gun handling is on par with the T25... as in terrible.

Skorpion G is a real gem among tier 8 premiums.

E25 is funny as hell in both looks and game play.

Progetto is also a very powerful medium with a lot of potential.

Worst

Steyr WT - absolute slow piss.

CDC - useless on these maps.

US Scorpion - absolute piss

Cent 5/1 - for me, cursed by WG  matchmaking with useless turd teams (I have sabaton and it performs better although a worse tank on paper, hence my claim of rigging)

Pz58 - was OK but not any more

LT432 - again rigged to lose more than win with potato teams.

Blackdog - played a lot pre rebalance, it was crap then.

T-34-3 - absolute garbage gun handling

best

Thunderbolt, a total hoot and can take on tier 8s

M41D, a great all rounder, gun, mobility, view range, camo

Skoda T27, surprisingly easy to live with and fun to play

There are quite a few other fun premiums about

worst

JigTig88 what a waste of time

Chrysler K what a total waste of time

AMX CDC, oh dear

I think I got the Pz. IV s for gold, that is definitely not worth it. For the rest, I didn't pay for most premium I have, so can't really say it's a good/bad purchase. I got the T34B for credits, not worth it at all, bad and boring.

KV-5 is very much worth it, LeFh is very much worth it, especially for memes. And also I remember I got the Churchill 3 during Christmas special sales for just 750 gold, very much worth the gold.

Worst

Matilda Black Prince

FV201(A45)

Both need no explanation.

AC 4 Exp - sort of average except the practical top speed is nowhere near what's written.

Best

Heavy tank No. VI - Got it to train Japanese heavy crews, but I never got further than the O-I. I put the crew back in this because it was much more fun.

Caernarvon AX - fun enough, bounced a huge amount off this thing's turret once I found a ridgeline, which I'm not used to with a lot of brit tanks. Only thing is eventually, people notice the giant cupola sticking up.

KV-2® - It's a KV-2. I have a techtree KV-2. When that one gets blown up, I hop right into this one and keep on KV-2ing.

I once did three kills in a TOG,and survived:DFunny tank if nothing else, seriously in need of an armour buff and room for three more tea machines.Worst tanks Ihave bough,oh my word where to start.

Ok I fell for the Blurb on the 50TP, Defender Mk 2 they said,I say your average T6 and T 7 tank can make Swiss cheese of it,sold it in utter disgust.

Chrysler K, a true American thanks giving turkey, made famous by an [edited]of a CC,angle it just as the promo video shows you,and get penned  just about everywhere.

Ah, what else

Oh yeah, the T something or other Patriot, another supposedly OP tank, only place I can make mine work sometimes is in Frontline.

Now for the best I have bought, keepers that no matter how much I hate them will always have a nice cosy warm spot in my garage.

Again so many to choose from.

Off the top of my head..

Object 252u

Lowe

LT 432

Apart from the HP, the Pz IV S is a t5 tank.

Well, it used to be, as an option to mount the Schmalturm turret with the 75 l70 at t5 for the Pz 4H.

Then they removed it and later they brought it back as a premium, but as a t6 med, as you said .... is lackluster.

Worst :

Skoda T40 - i listened to QB's vid, and got it to train crews for the czech line. I was newb back then and it took a while for the penny to drop as to why it's such a bad tank (much much much worse VK 30.01 P).

AMX CDC - decent when i got it, got hit hard in 9.18 (literally a few weeks later after i got it), and soon it became very very bad. Tank is fine, WG's fault for not doing maintenance on my hard earned 30 euros going to them.

WZ-120-1g ft - can't make it work for now, just not my playstyle .... i need to start adapting to it and i'm sure i can do better in time though.

Type 64 - can't make it work for now, too much arty at t6 .... i need to get better.

Panther/M10 - is a gold tank, good one, but i ended up buying the Pz 5/4 some time later and it's just better tier for tier.

Best :

Revalorise - amazing td, worth every penny, even almost 2yrs later.

T25 Pilot - amazing ... still love it, though it's been powercreeped.

Pz 5/4 - love it, best E50M line trainer.

I didn't really buy the rest, either rentals (somua, skorp g), or marathons (progetto, ebr, caern, su-130, ts-5, m10 rbfm, t-34-85m) or referral contracts (m4 49, fv4202, 112, and soon T92) ... and off-c lootboxes (defender, e25, turan III, kv 220-2).

Reading it again, i did not do really well when i bought a tank with money for full price, from WG .... apart from 1 tank, i chose rather badly.

There's a lesson to be learned here.

And that's why it would have been a good tier 5. Nothing wrong with were it was as a tech tree tank back in the day. It was strong when removed, but by the time it got back the meta had already changed and shifted to render it rather useless.

Best:

Lowe: because its never truly out of it's depth.

Rev: because it just feels like a balanced all rounder.

Emil 1951: [reward tanks count right] because it's for some weird reason so much more fun than the Emil.

Worst:

Deathstar: Can't hit a goddam thing with it.

FCM: Not even a heavy imo, just a massive medium with a gun that went all over the place [sold]

112: With 186 pen near useless in randoms, but good in FL, so not a complete failure.

Best

Progetto 46  ---- Not purchased but gained in the marathon.

T-44-100     ------ Again not purchased but gained in marathon.

FV215b (183) --- Don't play this as much as I should but once finished researching others will play it a lot more.

Worst.

Matilda BP  ---- one of the first premiums I did buy.

Chi-Nu Kai ----- just do not like this tank at all.

Matilda IV  ---- not much to say just don't play it anymore.

A new catagory.

premiums I would like.

Lorr 40t

Type 59 ---- normal version is fine.

Alpine Tiger ---- just for the looks :)

Honourable mentions

Chieftain/T95

T-55A

Primo Victoria

Caernarvon AX

I still remember the patch, it was the same as the removal of the KV-2 turret and 152mm from the t5 KV and creating the KV-2 in the line.

They were seen both equally opressive, it never seemed that way to me tbh.

The IV H with the 75 l70 was strong, but it was not as strong as the KV with KV-2 turret and 152mm.

Maybe because of the mobility and aimtime.

Kinda thinking of getting it myself ... it's between Emil 1951 and STA-2.

Turan III

T28 F30

Bt7-art

The one I didn't like :

Chi-Nu-Kai

Pz B2

Kv220-2

Oddly enough, it's still a tier 5 I see perform rather well and carries more so then fail. Not bad considering it has 86 AP pen, and 102 gold pen that's less then most tier 4's he faces normal pen.

It was my first premium, and it did train more or less every medium crew I've used, as it was the only crew trainer for a long time. And tbh... I don't hate it. I don't love it either tho.

Worst is easy:

Leafblower because I regret feeding WG money for arty.

FV4202, pointless in the meta when I bought it. Even less relevant now.

KV-220 very over priced for what it is. A KV-1 with the 57mm gun and gold is far more effective.

Best are most memorable as I tend to l only buy after a lot of research.

Lorraine 40t because it gave me a taste for autoloaders.

Type 64, my first OP Prem...

VK 45.03,got it on discount and it taught me a bit about HTs. Great gun handling too.

I compared it on paper to the tech tree Emil and thought they'd be near enough the same thing but it does feel different to me. I don't want to recommend it too much because it might just all be in my head. But personally I'm getting more out of it than that Phase 1 thing tbh.

Best - Type 59 Gold, it’s gold

Type 59, special match making is such a bonus for tier 8s. The Type 59 is one of my favorite tanks I was lucky enough to win the in the Xmas boxes a few years ago. It’s just a good all round tank imo. The gun is ok it can move around the map effortlessly and has armor.

Tier 6 Tiger’s, good well rounded tanks with good guns and a nice pool of hit points

Patriot, it’s just great fun has decent pen great turret armor and amazing rate of fire - one premium tank you can still get from time to time is this. The only tier 8 American heavy you will ever need.

Worst - The KV 5, Defender, Rudy, Foch 155, 59 Patton (omg the tumor) I think this list could be quite long. The reasons I struggle to win games in these. I don’t know why but the suck for me. The Defender is an auto loss tank when I play. I just can’t work out why I get penned by everything yet still can bounce off tier 6 tanks full aimed. I think I can count on one hand how many good games I have had in that tank.

i have nearly every premium tank, but some don’t suit my play style. I would recommend to purchase a premium tank but never purchase premium time. If you have a day when you will play a lot purchase 1 day of premium time
