Hi, I am a TD player, and I have almost all of the Tier X TD's. My next goal is Grille 15. I played few battles with it on a friends account, I enjoyed it a lot.

Is the grind worth it? I have 100k free xp and I can skip tiers 1-7 and go straight to Rhm, and then the WT auf IV.

Are they OK? Is the Grille worth it?

My main questions is if the Grille 15 play stile is similar to Skorpion G?

The RHM is my T8 troll tank, with 150mm of course so great fun there. The WT auf IV i didnt enjoy and the Grill 15 is hit or miss for me.

Ive had a few smashing games in it and then a few dumpster fires. I guess the play style is similar just with a limited gun arc.

That's my 2 cents.

Nope, not worth it. Maybe the lower tiers are okay but nothing special starting from tier 7. The tier 9 got some redeeming aspects but still belongs to WOT 2015.

I don't think the Grille is even close to the Skorpion tier for tier. 400 DPM in difference between a tier 10 TD and a tier 8!

Also the dispersion values for the Skorpion maybe bad but they work on a tier 8 tank. The gun handling of the Grille is even worse and that doesn't work well at all on a tier 10 TD with no armor or camo. The 268V4 got more camo than this thing by the way!

If you've tried it and liked it then yes. Doesn't matter if anyone else thinks it's good or not.

For me is Grille 15 best tier 10 TD thanks to its mobility, accuracy, shell velocity and semi turret. Even thought Strv is better sniper, the 750 alpha damage feels just better.

Seems like there's your answer. You enjoyed it a lot so... since it's you that's gonna be using it, why not get it then, regardless of if anyone else likes it or doesn't like.

Is the grind worth it? For me, most definitely not, a complete disappointment. Like you I was lucky enough to be in a position to free xp passed the St. Emil and maybe if a player played X amount of battles grinding though that thing the Borsig would seem like a massive improved but overall no, they're all heavily compromised imo, the Borsig is tragically slow, the Wafflejager is nice but awkward and reverse fighting with restricted gun elevations, depression around the sides and front so hardly a nice situation while the Grille has a limited traverse turret, bad pen options, the worst soft stats I think I ever encountered and practically no camo at tier10 where everything has mega view range making it insta spotted and just really tricky to make work without getting smashed and killed for daring to take a shot.

Overall the premium Skorp(surprise surprise :D ) is the best of the bunch, being unrestricted in movements of its turret, gun elevations etc along with having a really nice handling high alpha gun, lots of mobility. It also suffers some bad camo like the Grille but at tier8 it's not as much of a problem and since you have a full 360 degree turret unlike the Grille, you can position yourself much more favorably to cater for getting spotted after shooting and basically drive forwards to go backwards and get better cover, work more positions on the map etc it just works much better than a grille and I found the Grille loves to roll 600-650 dmg most shots instead of its stated 750 so you really haven't gained a whole lot for all those drawbacks. I'm sure there's players can make a Grille work and hide it or keep it between render and view range so it doesn't keep getting spotted but damned if I can.

if you have have maxed camo on crew, then yes - worth it.

No and no and no.

Skorpion wss complete trash for me with it's subpar AP velocity and gun handling and atrocious camo. The turret  and mobility (of sorts) does not compensate enough to outweigh the negatives. Rhm is far better, regardless of gun; 15cm HEAT melts tier X.

Tier IX is odd because of rear turret and differences in gun depression between front and sides/rear and weak mobility.

Grille 15 combines the best of the line - hard hitting gun with mobility and pseudo turret, and a great crew is very beneficial. The only problems are wiith the gun dispersion when moving the gun / TD; which means you improve it as much as possible, to minimise the time you expose yourself between shots. Traverse hurts a bit.

Well Grille is similar to Skorpion but it's less flexible mainly because it lacks fully traverse-able turret and insanely bad dispersion values for turret rotation. Also tanks on T10 tend to have more view range so Grille gets spotted more often compared to Skorpion.

I would say that Strv 103B and T110E3 are the best TDs you can play at the moment and the rest are lackluster in one way or another. So Grille is not really worth the grind, Strv is just a superior sniper in every way, shape and form. As far as rest of the line is concerned all tanks from T6 and up are decent and easy to grind (except Emil). That being said, if you enjoyed playing Grille there's no reason not to grind it, you don't have to play THE best tank in order to have fun.

The St. Emil stock grind is one of the worst there is. My god...
Once you get the tank upgraded it can be fun with it's awesome gundepression, but the tank remains SLOW.

The Rhm was the highlight of the line for me, low profile, good camo, turret. Great stuff!

I don't really remember the T9 WT, so I guess it wasn't that impressive for me.

I got to TX a couple of weeks after they removed the OP version and enjoyed the Grille 15 until they nerfed it's speed. Now...meh. As someone already mentioned: hit or miss.

Nah. This days Grille resides in Ninjanerfedtotheground land, to which it rightfully belongs.

Not worth it if you play for stats.

Wonderful if you like aggressive and punchy tanks.

Can sometimes work from behind a bush too, but who would in their right mind would want to do things behind a bush anyway?

No.

You have no armour, no camo, bad depression, turret not fully traversable and awful reticule bloom. It can go fast, but can't shoot backwards and only turns slowly. Stay at tier 9, it's much better.

I don't know if the Grille 15 is worth it. Yesterday decided to unlock and play the St. Emil. Knew it would be special and so far having ups and downs with the thing. But in general: not good and definitely not my play style.

Not particularly looking forward to the rhm-b, but my main goal will be the wt. Played it on a friend's account and really like the (128mm) gun in combination with the fully rotating turret. Grille used to be really OP, now it's 'okay' I guess, but I haven't tried it yet.

For me, it worth it, good speed and it's turret is rotatable so it's a great advantage. :)

The good news is that you won't bother to go front, all you have to do is sniping. And in last moments, you'll be able to use your speed and HP to farm HP. ;)

But more importantly, it must fit your gameplay because it's literally armour-less...

Grille 15 has really bad gun handling. Completely negates it's superior accuracy sometimes.
