Heroically hurling my light tank off a ridge and I got a 'alarm' noise go off as it landed rather hard. No damage or apparent module damage - what's it for? Just a warning?

Seems to do it for just that reason, even if the bumps quite small

I think it means your tracks took damage but not enough to go yellow.

It's a warning to let you know that you are required to wait 90 seconds before jumping off any more cliffs or performing any other action that defies normal physics.

This is to allow the reality suspension module time to recharge.

After 90 seconds you are once again free to cliff dive.

Of course, if the module was damaged during the battle then you are kinda screwed.

You don't see anything on the display because it doesn't really exist, it just is.

But of course it is, what else could it possibly be? I mean it's actually pretty obvious if you think about it. :bajan:

Unironically this ^^

Also, did someone say cliff diving? Me and some friends a few years back :B

^^This. You damaged your suspension but the damage was not high enough to turn them yellow. Just pay some attention to the next manoeuvres because, IIRC, the module still need some time to recover its full HP.

You get that beep when you fall hard enough to either slightly damage your tracks or knock more than half your HP off... Basically there to tell you; "you fell, don't do that".

Though recently, I heard there's a bug with fall damage not registering properly sometimes...so you might survive a ridiculous fall randomly.
