When are WG even gonns open the 1.7 test server update, 18 days left until 1 of dec... If they fail the Xmas event too, than I dont what to say...

When did Xmas event ever start on 1st Dec?

 

I remember back in 2010 we finally got the Xmas garage on Xmas eve and kept it until almost Easter.

21:20 Added after 4 minute

Just checked back, last year 1.3 landed on the 10th Dec and Holiday ops started on the 13th.

Not going to be (too) small, since 1.7 should introduce the Double Barreled Vehicles. My guess is CT will open next week.

Yes advent calendar starts on dec 1st. So maybe they will rush this patch in two weeks or a very small one who puts out the calendar.

It doesn't have to.  They could delay those to a later patch if there are issues.

The festive atmosphere or whatever, the loots boxes, the advent calendar etc. none of that needs a major content patch or public test server. 

 

WG do like to the Xmas actvities together with a content patch most year, but firstly we have about 4 weeks until the xmas atmosphere usually starts anyway so WG could easily get two or three public tests in before that and secondly if the double barrelled vehicles are not ready, I'd rather WG didn't release them than rush them out.

Is anyone that distraught over the Halloween event not showing up? Frankly at the moment theres so many 'specials' that its only the days without 'specials' that feel special.

Where are the skins even mentioned?

And, either way, how does any of that even need testing to begin with? If they decide to make crew directives purchasable by credits, that's surely a micro-patch kinda thing, no?

Yeah that'd be a micropatch thing except it isn't and as i said it's the first iteration. Be patient and eventually you'll know exactly what's in the patch. The OP was asking "When are WG even gonns open the 1.7 test server update", not what's in the patch.
