At least that`s my experience going from tier 8 Pershing, which i absolutely enjoyed and had the best medium tank gameplay of all times to tier 10 Patton which is a total fiasco. Patton "laser beam" accuracy keeps digging the soil. Shots landing where they were supposed don`t pen....everything that can go wrong seems to go wrong. They are as far as my experience goes worlds apart.

You get less potato patches if you spam gold

There is a lot of pay to win stuff in this game

Quite surprised here as the Pershing is one of those tanks that Time Forgot, it's rather average nowadays while the Patton seems to be everyone's darling pretty much.

Tier 10 Patton is a very good tank (as is the tier 9), way better tier for tier than the Pershing, so it's likely you not playing it well.

It also does not have laser accuracy, its accuracy like most US mediums is mediocre, what it does have is amazing gun handling, coupled with good turret armour, good gun depression and good DPM.

I don`t use gold with neither of them.

Frankly despite all my friends oppinions about Pershing being not that great i found it absolutely briliant without anything special at the same time.

I like the M46 way more than the Pershing.

My rant with the Patton line is that they are just to expensive to play with... Its just amazing the volume of credits you will lose grinding and playing the tier 9...

M46 Patton was one of the best T9 mediums, but a couple of "new" ones (Skoda, 430, Standard B...) are equally good. But that does not make M46 any worse.

I also find it better than M48 and Pershing tier for tier, and also placing the Pershing as the worst of the three.

I loved the Tier 8,   Struggling with the T9 and its a love/hate relationship. Some games are outstanding, most are donkey shte, but thats me as a player not the tank

Not sure why you hate the tank so much OP, for me the experience has been quite the contrary. M46 is a fantastic little machine, just don't overexpose and expect to hit everything with snapshots. Gold ammo is also not required for the most part, since you likely won't be engaging heavies from the front anyway. And it has a fantastic DPM, you can shoot twice in a time some tanks can only shoot once (not to mention 390 alpha)! Absolutely brilliant for flanking, and you can out-DPM most stuff at your tier, especially if they have bad armor. And many tanks actually do. Pick targets when you can to maximize the damage output. Oh, and do not forget to maximize view range and crew skills as well. Works wonders.

This probably comes down to individual play style and rng. Personally,  the Pershing was the only t8 tank that I used free xp to finish because it was making me lose the will to play.  Even the tvp didn't do that .

Well clearly the game is rigged as you’ve claimed multiple times.

T9 Patton was fine, it's just part of the old breed of tanks that have been power creeped so has T8 like pen in its standard shells.

All the new breed of T9 Meds have 230+ pen as standard. WG should look at this...

I don`t hate it. I actually like it. I`m just not getting how i should make it work. hence the frustration.

Tier 9 medium tanks are hard to play...

The M46 doesn't have "laser beam" accuracy. It got great gun handling and DPM though. You can afford to miss a few shots here and there and you can get closer to the action so your gun actually works.

Let's say the british 7/1 with its 0.31 stock accuracy can consistently hit the lower plate of an IS-7 300m away. It must stay away because its poor gun handling for that caliber. It takes longer to aim and it can't afford to lose DPM (2180 stock).

The M46 needs to get closer with its 0.37 stock accuracy. When it's close, you almost don't need to aim at all because its excellent gun handling. It's all about positioning your tank and choosing the correct fight. Sure you can't do that all the time and not on all maps but that's the same with every tank in the game.

Patton is good once it has all the modules unblocked.

Pershing is a piece of junk

I guess it just goes to show that everyone has their own opinion and *most tanks aren't a "POS", they just don't suit everyone ;)

*CGC excluded, that is a POS, ofc :):)

It’s been like that for as long as I can remember. Back when the KV-3 was tier VI it was supposed to be some sort of wunder tank. I couldn’t stand the thing myself and I only kept it for as long as I did because when it was rebalanced you would get a tank for free.
