The easiest way to get a FREE Progetto 46 is to stop p(l)aying.

Let me explain:

A few weeks ago I got an unexpected email from WG.

It said "Happy WoT Anniversary". and went on to explain that I had been playing for 2 years and they wanted to thank me and congratulate me.

How lovely! A warm fuzzy feeling came over me.

My "Present" was one of those "30% OFF ANYTHING in the store, except bundles, discounted items, gold, premium time, tanks you actually want or generally items that are even moderately of interest to you" coupons.

But hey, it's the thought that counts, right?

Then there was a thing called "Battle report". I clicked on it and you get a small tank you can push along a track and it highlights some stats from your account to date.

How cute! Love it! My winrate is 100%!!

Wait..

wut..

100%?...

Ah. Then I realised this email was adressed to me, but not to my current main account...

When I started playing WoT, I had played 3 games and my PC died. At the time I was also busy moving house, so it took a few weeks to get back to WoT.

By that time I realised I didn't like my account name and didn't want to spend 2k gold on a name change for an account with only 3 games in a tier 1 tonk. So I rolled a new one.

But then I got to the end of the 'Battle Journey" and ther was another gift: A Progetto 46 and 3 days Premium account. Amazing, right? All this for NOT playing WoT for 2 years!

A few weeks later my main account (SoupFork) had its 2 year Anniversary.

But my inbox stayed very empty..

Now lets be honest here, I wasn't expecting a free Spaghettio because obviously that was just an incentive to get dormant accounts to return.

But I WAS looking forward to seeing my "battle journey" and maybe treating my account to a "birthday present" with the included coupon.

But... nothing. Not even an automated e-mail.

So:

Play 3 games, stop playing for 2 years and never spend a penny: Nice e-mail, a coupon, 3 days of Premium and a Free Progetto 46.

Play 11k games, spend/play enough to get 8x T8 Premium, 4x T6 Premium, 8x T5 Premium and lots of gold spend on Freeing Xp and crew retraining: NO SOUP FOR YOU!

So thank you WG for showing me non-p(l)ayers matter more to you than loyal p(l)ayers.

(Also, how is it good for the overall gameplay to give someone with only 3 tier 1 battles a tier 8 Premium..)

So now you know. To get a free Progetto 46, roll an account, play 3 battles and do nothing, SPEND nothing and wait.

They don't treat us like paying customers, they treat us like addicts...

Its not like we don't deserve such treatment... if you are idiot enough (like me) to spend hundreds of euros on a free game and be treated like a junk addict...

Also, I think there is a LOT of players that got the offer and already own a Progetto (like myself). So instead you get some credits as a consolation prize.

I would not dare to say that it is intentionally targeted towards players that have it already, but on the previous thread about a "free progetto" it was a case of "almost a free progetto".

Just saying.

Aha........2 years for a free spagetto......it may looks. Nah, forgot it. :D

You've couldn't regret if you haven't spend money on WoT since the first moment.

Gl mate! :)

One of your accounts looked like it might spend money on a Progetto and the other one looked like it might spend money if it got a Progetto for free. That's all it comes down to I'm affraid.

But I don't have the Spahettio yet and it would have been really nice to get one for my 2 year anniversary :P

I got offered a Tirpitz in WoWS after giving up for 9months.

Too bad I already have one and I've no intention of ever playing that game again....

Same hold for not playing regularly.

A friend of mine typically plays wot like a few weeks a year, while he stays dormant for a few months and then gets back for a few weeks.

Quite often he finds himself with some missions for extra credits/gold/premium time or some free premium time added to his account.

I myself tend to log into my account every now and then, see who is online from my friendslist and stuff. Therefore I am not offline long enough to get the goodies...

None of my alt accounts. Be it my NA account that's been idle for over a year, or my training room account I've not used for 2 years have gotten that email. Tho I get a few like it from WOWP. There I got a few mid tier premiums over the years for not playing.

We do see topics about this now and then getting this pack. On anything from a few months break to over a year, on sub 1K accounts or 10K+.  So I suspect it's random vs some criteria.

My 5th anniversary is this saturday, hope to get a rental prosecco or some other nice stuff. As I haven't spend any money the last two years I guess I should be eligible :child:

Got an email today with a gift notification. Probably my free Spagetto

I guess the offer will be valid for some time? If its a 30 day rental I would rather 'open' the gift in about two weeks to benefit from the prosecco during christmas time... then I have a bit more time to play and hopefully some extra credit income.

Can anyone verify that you can activate it at a later time? Or is there an expiration date? I haven't opened the email yet.

There is another twist yet.

That "free Progetto" on your other account is a 30 day rental.

seems a bit unfair, my first account i have, rolled to this account when i suddenly realised why i was playing so bad and i didnt want ppl to think i was a complete scrub so i made this account which was when i actually started playing fairly well, i hadnt played the first account in over 5 years.... not a single email from WG about any kind of deals, and the email i used for my first is my main email i use for almost everything, so not like i missed anything from WG. 5 years and not one gift? and you get a free tier 8 after not playing for just 2? :sceptic:

Yep, people who actively play them game and have been financially supporting Wargaming for *years* get very little actual rewards while people who don't give a toss and/or reroll accounts get amazing bonuses and free stuff.

Makes sense from a business view and I understand why they do it, but it's just idiotic if you look at it like a normal human being.

There is a reason why there are so many "loyalty" programs in the world, rewarding your most valuable customers is important.

It's a 30 day rental of a really good tank to hook back players into the game.

Do not really see this as a problem to active ones, I just got the same for 8 years, thanks for the prem days, wont even touch the tank.

And the long term players should remember that we got a tank, and load of cash and bonds last year, and from what I heard we will get something this year too.
