I far surpassed all my expectations, because there were none. :) Got 800 very easy bonds by simply playing as long as there were bonus battles left and then quit. All in all about 30 ranked battles. Got a fair amount of credits too by shooting mostly regular ammo.

1 division, 4 ranks.

6 evenings of back-to-back tryhard WoT after a 6 months break from a game. Had fun, farmed some resources, yelled at monitor a couple of times. 9/10 WoT experience.

I dropped from 120% eff to 92.something% for one evening of pretty drunken style gameplay,

so i ended up in silver league. I'm fine with that.

rank 5(?) division 1; got to division 1 saturday, did the bonus battles sunday(have only 3 t10s with crews in them) and that was it.

wouldn't get better then bronze in any way, shape or form. Truly hated it. By far the worst experience in WoT(again, in wot, a game that isn't exactly user friendly to begin with).

I have no problems against bad plays due to player being bad; obviously it pisses me off, but I can accept it. But I F HATE bad plays due to selfishness. I truly f hate it.

Got to bronze league while playing mostly mediums (430U, Leopard 1 and STB-1). Was my first season where I even bothered with ranked and it was by far the worst WoT experience since I've been playing this game (from 2011).

Games just end up with:
- hardcore lemming trains where everyone goes to the same flank
- 15-0 results where one team crushes the other (mostly due to bad deployment) OR the game turns into 15 minute boring camping fest where probably only clickers are having any fun

It's just a shame how the chevron system is designed because it promotes super toxic gameplay where you are not incentivised to try and actually win games but it's better to just farm as much damage and kills as you can at the expense of your own team. Like I've seen so many Chieftan drivers just camping in base from the very start of the game and they just let squishy tanks deploy to flanks and die as meat-shields while they farm up their chevrons.

The chevron system should be designed in a way that it would promote team play with the goal of winning games. Winning teams and losing teams should be mostly rewarded or punished equally so you wouldn't have to compete with your own allies so much but work together instead.

Played 2 more games after qualifying, got a nice 1M credits, 200 bonds and some stuff. Think I ended rank 3.

Could not be bothered to play the rest of the bonus battles.

Bronze, Level 6. First Ranked ever. Not impressed, not disappointed. Just need more Tier X tanks.

I was wondering about the cause of the recent increase in steamrolls.

Somehow didn't feel natural particularly since the weekend's ended :D

Quick look at the forums and everything became clear!

All of the WoT professionals finished their adventure in ranked and returned to the random queue.

The matchmaking is all over the place, obviously cause the tier X specialists are all so good at the game ;)

This doesn't make sense, you only enter one of the leagues if you completed all divisions.

What you mean most likely is rank 6 in division 1, without completing and entering the leagues.

Or he's in 6th place on the whole leaser board perhaps?

As for me, got my highest place ever (i.e. I passed the qualifiers), and ended up with rank 7 in the 2nd division.

Gave it one more go and quickly got bored. I stopped playing Frontline after 5 games too. Never play the "fun" modes, such as the car races....

Played a few games over time. Went into 3rd division and just played to get some bonds. Not worth to play crazy for with too many OP tanks and allies throwing games.

I think it sort of pans out that way through divisions though. Stronger players will naturally bag more chevys on average than weaker players so the stronger players end up climbing divs faster and encountering equally strong players while weaker players will struggle to bag and hang onto their chevys so the skill factor most definitely does apply here, albeit slightly twisted amidst a mix of arty and op reward/clan tanks or my own personal favorite, the 430U.

That only applies when you have players with similar number of battles per day that started at the same time. The MM didn't care if you needed 100 or 500 battles for your rank. Also very good (and/or dedicated) players finished the mode long before the end and therefore dropped out of the MM queue.
