I welcome armoured cars in wot (I have been off for a long time), but wot had to work some magic with them off course. So instead of being slow on soft ground as u might expect, they just fly on a magic carpet. If a vehicle should have that behaviour in wot the hovertank should be introduced somewhere in the ussr light tech tree.

Going in 30m diameter circles at 90kmh+, what sick mind conceived that?

Super low aim times in a game where full aim is everything and precision counts for comparatively little: Really? But only really bad combined with the Magic HE shells… I know this is a game, but really, why would u have one kind of vehicle shooting HE shells with fundamentally diffenrent properties?

The armoured cars are just too unreal. It can be said that simple.

I only realized how crazy the mobilty/aim time/ HE magic is when i got to drive the T7 EBR. Get rid of the HE magic, bin the crazy turning circles at highway speeds.

Blame lazy campers

Campers were killing the game

Wheelies are a campers nightmare

WoT used one set of negative value gameplay players to cancel out another set of negative value gameplay players

-1 x -1 = +1

First they removed T-50-2 because it was too fast.

Back in the day we didn't have physics so the vehicles turned on the dime.

This was a problem.

Then WG introduced physics where tanks like T-54 LWT slides all over the place.

Then they introduced tanks that are fastest this game ever had, turns on the dime.

The moment when you think they can't get any more retarded they always come up with something to prove me wrong.

Because the T-50-2 was the only tank that was that agile. Nor did the physics even allow to slide off cliffs to escape it. As the physics engine got better, it made tanks faster. As then most lights could "drift" to get close to the old one. And if it was just one EBR around. It would be equally bad if they did just dominate one tier.

Most hate EBR's, but most don't mind it as it's a cure for campers and arty. As it's usually those that complain most about it. That and what makes some leave, gets others back. So your "perfect" wot balance will be "retarded" for others too. You can't please every single player the same way regardless. So.. for some, WOT will always find a way to prove them wrong. As most changes of late for me... have been good more so then bad. If not I would have left ages ago.

T6-7-8 are pretty much bad lights with horrible viewrange... afaik .. it's at t9 where speed actually becomes a usuable strength of the line..  (also the T8 research tank gets poop'd on by the EBR on all fronts almost except alpha dmg i think on regular ammo)

WVs are mediocre at best.

And there are hovercraft tanks already, even if in blueprints alone. And unsurprisingly it was made in the USSR

What they should have looked at before introducing them was did more than half the player base want them and what would be the outcome of having vehicles like this within the game should they be introduced...... two things they never did...... that and watch a video of how they really move slower than many tanks on all but tarmac roads and in a straight line as grip roll is a real issue for them.

The tankdesigning madman of the USSR actually built a hovercraft tank; the Object 760

USSR was pretty crazy about tankdesigns really. Almost no idea was too outlandish to be made into a prototype. There's even a rocket propelled tank design around & a jumping one too. Imagine those in WoT!

Also the russians had a very interesting tank in regard to this wheelie debate. The BT series of tanks could run with or without tracks. In tracked mode they operated as (fast) tanks able to cross much terrain. In wheeled mode they were the fastest tanks in the world at the time able to travel 70+ km/h (but needed roads to achieve this speed). Originally they even had this speed in the game but it got reduced as the old game engine (now revamped) had troubles rendering tanks at such speed (teleporting tanks!)

Would be an interesting way to update the BT tank models/tech tree in the game by giving them this option in the future.

The german Army had some EBR's, too.
They could become bi-national like the Rudi T-34.
