Have not heard any rumors, nor do I expect to until they've gotten the french well in place. If I were to hear any before that, I wouldn't believe theire foul lies!!

Also, the Tier 7 light tank is probably the french aswell. Not that it's anything special, or that it's like the only tech tree being scheduled to have one, since they are "balanced" by speed.. Don't know how that is supposed to save them when they haven't got the armour to get up close, being able to move while shooting, and having to stop at range in order to hit anything..

We've got at least 5-6 as shown by the marvellous work by posters in this very forum.

It's not so much British invented tanks that I want, but tanks with British isignia. The British and the US shared similar tanks, the same tanks even, all that differed was the badge. However, as we're on the EU server, I think it would be more appropriate to re-badge the US tanks with British isignia. After all we have French and German isignia, so why not British? Should we not respect/honour the British tank commanders like Monty for example, who fought so bravely on the North African continent? What about all those British tank crews who gave their lives? Should we not also honour them by re-badging the US tanks with British isignia on the EU server?

Only rumours I heard about brits are not really rumours, as it was the devs' mentioning them in their plan for 2012, so don't get overexcited and wait(probably quite some time) until they add them;d

Well, going by British tank standards, slow, heavy, unwieldy, but trololol "go anywhere" suspension with strange armor...

Either the MM will make them gods among their tiers because of their guns and armour or the MM will make them as lethal as a Loltraktor fighting BatChats because you might penetrate but then you are dead..

This just in: Mk VI light tank won't make the tank tree.

In a post below, maybe it gets to be a Premium Tier I.

It's only Britain's most numerous early war tank!

Dunno about that. With either the .50 Vickers or 15mm BESA it'll be among the worst armed of the Tier 2s. With next to no armour and good but not great speed it'll struggle against Tier 2s, never mind Tier 3s.
As a tier 2 it would need to have the Oerlikon smuggled on board, I would think. Tier 1 really seems to be the natural home of this little fellow.

Seems a remarkable oversight not to include this cute little tank, especially given that they did include the various Vickers mediums.

Its got around the same armour as the M22 Locust (which is tier three), and around the same speed. The M2 Light tank has a .50 cal HMG, and its funny as hell. a 15mm Besa would be the logical upgrade to it. So you'd get a Fast, ok armoured Tier 2 with a slightly weaker Auto gun.

Okay armoured? 14mm tops! That'd barely stop rifle ammo.
M2 LT not only has a M2, it also has the Hispano Suiza 20mm and two 37mms, best being the M5. And it is slightly faster and has almost double the armour of the MkVI. The M22 is much the same (slightly inferior to the M2 LT, at a glance)

However you look at it, the historical MkVI would be undergunned compared to other Tier 2 without any real offset in other areas being apparent. If you look at the Tier 1s it would still have among the weakest guns but its speed might compensate.

they could use that

Indeed in 1938. (Maj-Gen) N W Duncan wrote of it that it "would have made the British light tank superior to any of its kind in the world"
Though he also said no records of its performance are available and some lengthening of the vehicle would probably have been required.
