Hey all,

I've been grinding the E3 line because i want to do my personal missions and so far my performance has been completely terrible.

The armor doesnt feel reliable and not having a turret is a massive pain.

Im playing way worse with these things than i am with my other tanks.

I was wondering if there are any places/youtubers/streamers that i could read/watch so i could improve my own gameplay.

okay i cant figure out how this image uploader works. I can just copy paste into comments but not the actual post?

Just know that i get about twice the wn8 in my other tier 8s than i do with this line and its not good.

Dezgames tends to upload a fair amount of t95 replays so may be worth a look for you. It tends to come down to choosing the right way to go at the start of the battle as they are too slow to react if you go the wrong way.

Also you need to make sure you have support from allies or are in a position where you cannot be flanked. I believe quite a lot of people that play these tanks carry a large and small repair kit as if you get perma tracked you are dead.

Both T28 and T95 are strong, bit slow and situational so it's about choosing the right path to push and being aware of who is supporting you and what has shots on you/from what angle.

I think the must have phrase for these tanks is "Hunker down"....they are magnificent BUT ONLY if you play them to their strenghs......it's a mindset thing and you have to be able to distinguish between "playstyles" to get the best out of them.

I am at as much fault sometimes in that i will play "my playstyle" (attacking gung ho) with a TD hoping thst the armour will compensate for my stupidity sometimes!!......sadly it rarely does......you need to understand that to getn the best from this line you will need PATIENCE and POSITION. If you set up right in a position of great strength where you cannot be flanked easily then you just have to wait sometimes for the enemy to make a mistake or, if they are foolish enough, to rush you from the front!.

As a point of contention, I have always used a Heavy spall liner on my T95, not the most favoured of add on's I'm sure, but has always served me well......and more importantly, frustrated the hell out of Arty when they do so little damage!!  :)  :)

Follow the crowd as a support tank

Be far enough away to bounce and be useful as a visible front line distraction, every shot fired at you, including arty, is a shot not fired at your front line guys

The alternative is to camp at the back in defence which is

1 boring

2 doesn't usually lead to a victory

As mentioned, it's a different mindset/playstyle

The thing is, the availability of gold ammo for credits alongside all the things WG bombards us with to make more credits did all the heavily armoured vehicles, including the heavy/assault TDs (sans 268 4) a huge disservice. They just don't work as they ought to anymore.

I guess u are on T28? It is not most enjoyable but let me tell u T95 is a blast, I played it before speed buff and it was not that great but now it is way more fun. It is 1 of the few tanks that dont care about gold spam, no matter the pen they need to hit weakspots.

With the release of the HD model the T28 got a serious buff, it used to be bad with a lot of weakpoints but nowadays it can totally work. Provided you have a corridor map ....

T95 has always been the best tank in that line, it is way better then the E3 tier for tier. And since the matchmaker will match the E3 almost exclusively in tier 10 matchups an average player will have trouble making the tank work.

All the tanks are slow though, they are not well-suited to the fast gameplay that you get nowadays. To make this tank shine you will need a matchup with an enemy which is better then your team, but not too good so they slaughter your team. You want enemies to push, but not too fast, and you want to have a nice position where you cannot be flanked.

Only thing that can help you with this tank line is patience, you will need it.

It's a bit of a dull line. T95 is the best (couldn't make the E3 work so sold it). I used the t95 as a traditional assault tank, which does mean pushing at the front. You get a lot of fire this way, but as others have said, shots absorbed by you is damage not taken by your team.  I didn't get very good damage this way, but win rate was good. Tbh I can't stand Bushcamping in a slow armoured td - it's not what they're supposed to be for.

Don't push forwards too much

Use your range rings

Always be around cover

Support your forwards guys with your spanky gun

say "I am a support tank" 10 times before moving
