Its a fairly balanced tank that I do not especially like.
Its not that its OP or Rubbish but because it has a rear turret and I have a dislike of that kind of tank unless it has some other feature to get me to play it.
It is interesting that it considered OP by some and useless by others, maybe thats why its still sold.

Both tanks rely on armour,HE and gold spam will soon sort all that out.

it only works when you have backup, that don't runaway at the first sign of trouble, leaving you to defend that street corner, and with a non intimidating gun, that won't scare opposing forces, they just rush you, and its over.
and when do you ever get tiered up to tier 6's?...hardly, oh and did i mention that arty does not give a you-know-what about armor, and mostly you will be facing tier 9's and up, see how that goes.
so all this op this and that is vastly overrated, only in very very rare conditions.

And that's fine. What's not fine was the response to it by WG. Which is why the whole ordeal made it into the mainstream and ended up with a group of bigwigs making an official apology. All because they thought some Latvian guy had a potty mouth.. Proportions.

Disagree. If Foch would have used normal language there was no reason for Wargaming to even react to it.

foch was never among the mentally stable individuals in this community, and should have been given a couple of slaps on the face for his immaturity. There's no excuse for acting so pathetic. WG went too light on him.

You say they went too light on him and Turtle that he got what he deserved. What actually happened was that the only thing he got was an apology. And a whole lot of publicity, I guess.

See, the problem with this generation, is that the current time in which we live, is the perfect time for a normal life, at least in the First World countries. It makes people assume this feeling of being free to do whatever they want, regardless of consequences. It spoils them. I put the whole 'this tank is OP' blame fairly and squarely on his shoulders, if WG had given this thing a gun which has more alpha damage then yes I could believe it,but to make it work you have to use the gold,this does not happen in the Defender.

I don't own the tank and I never will, I enjoy having a challenge and this tank doesn't seem like one - same for Defender.
I also enjoy ripping apart their armor with gold ammo
Nothing brings me more joy than ruining fun for players that support these tanks.
It's like a mission. Defender or Chrystler on enemy team? Mission: gold spam them back to their garage!
