2 minutes or so into a battle on Redshire and the wife's power demands exceeded the trip switch. Tumble dryer, kettle, heater etc and <click> it all goes out.

I rejoined as quick as possible, and the battle was still in progress, my tank untouched....and 200m from where I'd left it! I disconnected under the wrecked Zepplin and rejoined halfway back to base. I carried on and...well, lost.

I  don't understand that at all as I thought positioning etc was all server side and uneffected by my PC. But that it happened must be a massive security flaw that some little Herbert can exploit for a clever cheat.

You didn't happen to put cruise control on before the power out? When starting a battle I RRR to position sometimes and I alt-tab out of the game to set my sound system right, when back my tank is closer to where I want to go.

Don't matter if you press W or use R. As the server has not gotten info that you let the button go if you will. And when you timeout the tank stops, and turns the turret over the rear to show you have D/C for others.

Your tank will continue to move in whatever direction it is going in until you hit something or the server gets the signal that you stopped pressing whatever keys you had pressed, or it decides you have finally stopped talking to it (which takes several minutes).

Yeah, that's another amusing effect, it keeps your aim on the exact spot on the map you had when you disconnected.

I've never had a disconnect caused by Windows 10.  I had lots caused by BT at one time when one of the cables under the channel got cut and they kept trying to route us down it.

Never had any disconnect issues with W10.

WB to the game, I returned last month after 11 months away, and tbh since the demise of 3-5-7 as the primary template I'm enjoying the game a lot more, T6 and T8 are much more enjoyable imo
