For a few months I haven't been able to play normally due to a ping issue. It starts at the beginning of each battle and stops when I get killed.

But what happens is that the ping stays around 30 for 10 seconds, then goes up to 300 for another 10 seconds, and then back to 30 for 10 seconds again. This repeats the entire game and makes it unplayable.

-I do not have any connection problems in other online games

-Up-/downloadspeed is the same as before I got this issue

-All drivers and anything else is up-to-date

-Nothing is downloading in the background

-I already sent a ticket to WG, but no response after almost a week

Does anyone know what the issue is?

I know it's an unpopular reply but.

Download pingplotter

if you use EU1 point it at login.p1.worldoftanks.eu

if you use EU2 point it at login.p2.worldoftanks.eu

Let it run while you play a few battles.

Save the trace as an image and post it up here.  Also mention how much lag you had.

Played two battles. Although the lag was significantly less annoying (I moved something made out of metal, which was a bit in the way), most of the small spikes to 100-150ms were noticable.

That's an extremely short route, with KPN meeting G-Core(aka WG) at the Amsterdam Internet Exchange.

Are you on Wifi, since you mention moving a piece of metal out of the way?

Wifi inteference was my first thought when I read the symptoms.

You can see that regular almost heartbeat blip on the trace.

19ms average ping to the router and only 29 to the server suggests it's between PC and router.

If you are on wifi then that would explain it.  Can you improve the signal some more?  Or try another channel.

I am indeed on wifi and the router is not the best. But how can it suddenly get worse when nothing has changed? There is a KPN FON on the same channel as the wifi, which seems to be very close to the router: https://prnt.sc/q3yco6 I'll try to switch channels, but I've never done that before so I don't know what actually happens. I will edit this post when the channel has been switched.

Edit: There are 2 networks on channel 1, 5 networks on 6 and 2 on 11 < some of them are not visible in the screenshot

I played another game today, but unfortunately it's just as bad as usual. I turned the wifi off on my phone and only the TV downstairs is playing music.

Nothing has changed that you know of.

Could be some electrical interference from outside, some electrical equipment malfunction.

Any chance of putting in a network cable?

SOmething is not right given by the fact you have packetloss at every hop, it's not constant either. I'm betting it's either your router or the wireless conenction.
Try with a cable and see what happens

I just tried playing with a cable and the ping stays between 5 and 40ms, so problem solved :)
