Well depends alot on the Heavy tank you have. What Heavy are you using?

Generally speaking, you want to take a strong position for your particular heavy, pick a position that you can retreat from and always check if you have support from your team mates.

For a more specific advice I'll need to know what heavy tank are you playing.

You start spelling it "heavies". =P

But like Warzey said, can't give specific advice as all heavies don't play the same. Paper heavies don't tank fe.

Some heavies have strong turret, some have strong Hull.  some strong from front only.. some have bouncy sides.   The tank you are in decides how you play.   Strong turret, stay hull down.  strong hull, you screwed, people shoot turret if they know what they are doing.   Good news is LOTS of people don't know what they are doing so Push as people will try and shoot your hull as its a bigger target.     Mine is not the best advice as I die in nearly every battle...

use cover when you move as much as you can, be aware of common positions for Arty and TD.

Camo net, binos and park 10m away from your spawn location looking at the clouds seems a popular choice for some :bush:

I have the same problem.. I played KV-4 a lot since yesterday morning and wether I play aggressive or defensive: my battles get screwed by own team. If I play aggressive, people stay behind and let me die at a position normally allies will follow to. If I don't, all the meds and faster tanks will get all damage after hiding and I get barely anything for a win, because the tanks is too slow. My gun mantle gets even penned by a 112 without even firing premium rounds and not even fully aimed (which has 0.4 accuracy at best), while my fully aimed shots miss most of the time with 0.36 accuracy.

I got my first mark today with an abysmal 1165 average damage, which is mostly because of teams melting extremely fast and the constant goldspam against my tank. Angling makes no sense, as people still get through..

-Be lucky enough that your teammates do not stomp the flank before you get to the flank yourself.

-Be lucky enough that the flank that you choose does not get stomped by the enemy team.

After you've successfully gone to a flank and can start to engage enemies:

-Be lucky enough that the enemy does not spam premium ammo.

-Be lucky enough to not get focused by arty

At this point you are going to be able to fight against enemies by effectively using your armor by going hull down and sidescraping.

-Try to aim for weakspots on enemy tanks, and try to not show your own weakspots when the enemy is about to shoot you.

-If you can't pen your enemies because you get no aim on weakspots, switch to premium ammo.

tl;dr: Be lucky, hide weakspots, shoot weakspots or shoot prem.

Hm, for game finishing in less than 3 minutes, you cant find any tips in this forum. For that you have to talk privately with viktor.

Have you looked in the Vehicles section of the forum?

You can check out info on all the tanks.

Well KV-4 is a weird tank, you're very much affected by MM.

If you're fighting against T9 and T10 tanks you need to play passively in more of a support role, because those tanks have T10 guns and will make short work of your armor, even more so if they decide to load premium. Basically you want to stick close to your high tier slow heavies and use them as meat shield, crucial part is that you don't try to push on your own and hope your team mates will follow, but rather wait for them to push.

If you're top tier then you can afford to play aggressively, T6-8 tanks don't have nearly enough fire power to kill you quickly. In this situation you want to contest strategic positions on the map while trying to side scrape. Basically you want to bait out enemy shots so you and your team mates can shoot safely. It is still important to have team mates with you, because your strong position means nothing if you have no support, enemies can easily overwhelm you with numbers.

bounce more shots?

and don't do stupid stuff like this, when you're not very good at using your armor:

Learn how to use your armor very effectively, the more you bounce, the longer you and your teammates live.

Other than that, find positions at the front line where your tank is strong at, wait for the enemies to come.

Try to lure enemies into positions where your teammates can shoot them.
