LE: ohhhh ... whoever came up with this marathon does not like the playerbase.

1800 points over 24d, means 75 points / day.

 

You can get 10 points from 'let it snow', which is t2-10, 3 battles fought.

You can get 10 points from 'new toys', which is specific to emil 1951, ae phase 1 and renegade (funny that), 5 battles fought.

You can get 10 points from 'reindeer missions', which are specific to 1 tier, from t2 to 10, and the lower in tier you go the more battles you have to fight.

So if you do 'let it snow' + 'reindeer missions' (t6/7/8/9/10) + 'new toys', you get 70 points.

In terms of battles it means 25 battles for 'reindeer' (t6/7/8/9/10) + 3 battles for 'let it snow' + 5 battles for 'new toys' = 33 battles everyday to get close to getting it, and you still won't have enough points, as you will have just 1680 points, just 20 short of the t4 reward.

 

But what else is running at the same time ..... oh right, this one :

With which it overlaps from Dec 2nd to Dec 8th (marathon ends on the 9th in the morning), that is 6 days of overlap.

And if you want the M56, not only do you have to play for the Renegade, but you must also dedicate time for t2/3/4/5 where you need 10/9/8/7 battles respectively in order to get the reward.

If you want the M56 Scorpion for sure, you need to at least do the the t5 'reindeer' of 7 battles (easy 1-2hs) which will put you at 1920 points ideally.

 

Bottom line is, you can have the Renegade discount/complete it, or you can have the M56 Scorpion, but you can't have both, not unless you want to preserve your sanity.

This is about as much a 'reward' and 'gift' and 'chance' as wooden horses given by greeks.

 

"the most accessible tank rewards ever' sounds about as well as 'here, take this hemlock and you will never feel sick again'.

 

LLE: It's even worse, 2nd december to 26th in the morning, actually is just 23d, as it is counted up to the server resets at 7-8 AM.

So you need 1800/23= 78.3 .... you need 80 points daily for it.

If you don't have AE Phase 1, renegade or Emil 1951, that means you need to do 'reindeer' for t4/5/6/7/8/9/10 for 8/7/6/5/4/3/2 battles, an overall 35 battles.

That is 5-6 hs .... this is insane.

How about those who already have M56 Scorpion in the hangar?

 

Besides, a nice idea for forcing players to use more different tiers' tanks in the times of minimarathon.

Reideer Mission says "once per day, per tier" so i guess you need to work through all the tiers.

 

Yes most "accesible" missions since its just playing games with no requirements, but also most time consuming.

 

If you get 70 Points a day, so Reideer Mission Tier VIII-X + Let it snow you need 26 Days.

Thats 9 battle a day. And if you miss one you cant just play twice as much on the next day because the Tier is locked.

 

Love Tank rewards. Great System. But this just seems accessive.

Is Reindeer missions 120 points/day max or 10?

I assume it is 120, because otherwise it ill be mission impossible.

For people who don't have the 3 New Toys, assuming playing tier VIII-X tanks as they give 20 points each, that is only 10+20+20+20=70 points per day. For the 1800 points needed, that is 26 days required, whereas the marathon is only 25 days long. This is 2+3+4=9 battles already, not easy for people who have a job to do every single day. If somebody wants to get points from lower tier tanks, that will be even more battles to run into.

 

Whoever designed the marathon deserves to have his Xmas holiday canceled. We will simply see a lot of people drawn themselves simply to get the points as no "top 10" required. Sad!

So you just play as normal amass points win prizes, what's not to like?

I mean, Lets say you will complete T8-9 and 10, thoose will earn you 60 badge. Add 10 from first one aswell. 2nd mission is only avaliable to few players anyway so i'm skiping it. So you may "farm" about 70badge, daily, which makes you need to do this 26day to complete 1800points. This minimarathon already felt like more forced than actual marathon, atleast it will take 10day instead.

And i doubt anyone have time to complete everything included everyday which takes 55battles in minimum.

I have 0 tier X, so that means I need 28 battles/day minimum.

This is not a jolly mission.

And if you don't have any of the latest premium tanks listed for the New Toys mission, and you don't have ANY Tier 8-10 tanks, how exactly are we supposed to achieve 1800 points in 24 days?

 

45 games (covering the Tier 2 to Tier 7 Reindeer Missions) equals 60 points/day + the Let It Snow Mission (another 10 points/day) = 70 points/day over 24 days = 1680 points in total...

 

That's not even enough points to unlock Level 4 of the event... seriously?

I just realised something else...

 

45 games per day, presuming an average 6 minutes per battle (which seems to be fairly normal now) means around 4.5 HOURS of gameplay per day for 24 days, just to unlock level 3 of the event...

Your maths is slightly off. Tier 8-10 get 20 points in the Reindeer Mission, not 10, so in your scenario you'd make 100 points per day, not 70.

Thx for the arithmetic Smelly Cat.

I'm guessing people will be throwing tanks into game then making a cup of tea, or maybe not being quite so obvious.

Not sure about the holiday cancellation for one since this will have been suggested, designed and approved by a team of people. Certainly the outcome for players will not be a relaxing series of games during an already stressful time of year so I suspect a lot of sensible people will say sod it, it's too much trouble and I can't be bothered going after the tank at the end of the grind.

If not, then the rewards along the way may be some consolation, oh and they are rewards, not gifts as the 'More End-Of-The-Year Gifts with Tank Rewards' headline claims, gifts are free of requirements!

Plus, there are other missions running concurrently to this series, so there are other compensations for playing at this time, so try to structure your game play to maximise the opportunities, without going into meltdown before the big day of worship to consumerism.

As I understand:

-Mission 1 : 10 points     3 battles

-Mission 2 : 10 points     5 battles

-Mission 3 :  120 points  54 battles

Total Max  :  140 points  per day 54 battles (62-8) if someone has either M54-Emil1951 and AE Phase 1 and combine the missions

 

It seems a lot grindy and if  someone is dedicated for the running Marathon for at least till Dec 9 it adds 34 battles (tier 2-tier 5 not counted for marathon) to the already lots of battles needed for Renegade.

Is it worth it?

I am just trying to select my prize Reward Tier IV of November Tank Reward event on the webpage but it is not possible.

It was very clear at the following webpage "https://worldoftanks.eu/en/news/general-news/tank-rewards-november-2019/" that "While the event ends on 26 November, you can select your prizes from the start of the event until 30 November at 6:00 CET (UTC+1).

I am login in at Tank Rewards webpage but there is the webpage of the event "Jungle Shells"

 

what happened to the problem???

The problem is the event expired this morning at 6am CET, and as it's now nearly 11am CET, you were too late.

15 days? Sure, if you have the latest premium reward tanks AND you have tanks at ALL tiers of the game, then yes you can actually complete this grindfest of an event in 13 days, but it'll cost you about 5.5 hours of your time per day, every single day, for those 13 days.

 

And if you don't have either the latest premium/reward tanks and/or you don't have tanks at Tiers 8-10, then you're basically screwed, because you not only can't unlock the M56 Scorpion, but you also can't unlock the level 4 rewards because you'll be short by 20 points.

 

And you wonder why people are not happy?
