OK, I want to find out if I am the only one with this split personality thing.

So I play 20-30 battles and I have 1500-2000 WN8 on those. For me those are great results!

Two day later I play 20-30 battles and I have 800-1200 WN8.

This is happening constantly. Sometimes I watch my stats and it's like two different people play on the account. Some days you see great results, other days terrible.

Example:

Played 7 battles with Grille 15 - average damage 3950.

few days later: 6 battles with Grille 15 - Average damage 960.

Am I the only one? I am not talking about few bad battles! I am talking about couple of days where I make all the worng descisions and I play terrible. Then few days later I play SOOO much better, like another person.

Anyone have this ...problem?

Naw, happens, everyone has on and off days performance wise, same happens with winrate.

I can manage 4k wn8 some weeks and others I barely manage 2,5 to 3k. Same tanks. Winrate differs even more, from 40% to 80%. But hey, as long as I keep performing well more times than not it all evens out fine.

i have different attitude when playing different tanks in different MM set ups… would you call that split personality?

if i am an EBR and there is arty. i am happy as i can spot for them and maybe yolo rush the enemy arty. :)

i play more carefully.

if there is no arty or our arty has perished i feel useless and just turn my EBR into a medium that bullies heavy tanks and act as annoying as i can to enemy heavy's and TD's as i can. :justwait:

i play more aggressively.

Same. Distracted? Worried? Tired? Happy? All of these emotions, state of mind or w/e you want to call them affect your game. If you care only about having nice stats, it is a skill to know when (not) to play. If you just want to play, take it, try and deal with and don't get too upset if you have a total S* day. :-)

It's the Matchmaking

We need skill based MM

Maybe I don't have that level of inconsistency at tier X that you have: there I'm simply rubbish. I do, however,  have very, very good battles and then very very bad.

Maybe it isn't on a day by day basis, but I do have good sessions and bad sessions even in my best tanks.

The other evening I won a battle in the M15/42 with 8 kills. The next morning I had two more Top Gun battles back to back. The day after I lost my first four battles and won two out of seven, I think it was.

Of course, this is a team game, and while great players can rack up outstanding amounts of damage in a decent battle, when your team folds faster than an Origami champion, your chances to deal damage are sorely limited by circumstances.

it depends on lot of things.

1.)  6 or 7 games are not big enough numbers for reliable statistics.

2.) Your result also depends on your mood. you are in bad mood, you are tired, ill... etc. your performance will be worse. You are happy, you are energized, etc, you perform  better.

3.) It may depend on maps. You got 6-7  open field maps, you will do great in your  Grille. You got city maps, you are toasted.

Do your low-win/low-exp sessions coincide with your frustration/angry moments ?

If they do, do your best, and exit the battle immediately on dying. And try something different in another battle.

Since adopting that method, incidentally, my chat-bans have gone down as well as my frustration levels.

5hit averages out in the end though. ;)

The problem is that It's not the winrate. I play like crap some days. Like every single battle of a 15-20 sessions. Next day I play very good. And I mean huge difference in performance. One day I have 2000 WN8 day. Other I have 700-800 WN8 day. More than half!

My winrate is consistent. Usually 55-60% per day. My own performance is unconsistent.

Had the same with my E50 recently. Combination of being 'tilted' (annoyed, not focused, not caring), bad matchmaking or just bad luck. Best thing would be to stop playing a d try again later.

Maybe your performance isn't all that bad. Ultimately, the game is about winning. If you help your team to do so by driving backwards and singing a song it might not look good on your WN8 chart, but you did win.

Have the same. My performance is far from constant as well. Either I got crap days or great days regarding performance but rarely inbetween. At least my WR is fairly constant & usually positive. Rare are the days my WR dips below 50%.

There could be many factors to this: MM that day can play a big factor, tank you're playing, if it's the same tank - are you rested and focused, do you stat pad or play as a team player...

I have a split personality but it's by choice.

The Grinder - He doesn't care. He goes hard and reckless. Next game!

The Casual - He likes to make it interesting. He's an explorer but not a suicidal one.

The Marker - This guy have the experience from the other two and tries to use their good bits to get that third gun mark.

The Casual is my favourite. The game is not a chore to him and there's vary little frustration involved.

I am something of a Renaissance Man

I am equally bad on all days and with all tanks

Difference between 1000 WN8 and 2000 WN8 isn't that big, it's like 2-3 shots with most tanks. Which may not even impact the end result at all.

Combination of various factors and your own mood.

If I notice I perform sub-par in my tanks, I tend to switch to meme-machines like the T49 for the remainder of the time as they really don't care.

you are not alone, this happens to me all the time. i had 44% winrate some time ago. started working to pump that up. it went pretty well for some time but i have stopped now at 46,75% win 20 battles one day. loses 20 the next and so on.

im not a good player so im not the carrying type, but still i can see the difference between sertain days. :)
