Prokhorovka, E100, HE loaded, blind fire railway crossing using spotted enemy icons on the map out of render range, blind fire the hill later the same way. Check later, three hits, one heavy on railway, T-100LT and Progetto-65 on the hill. All three blocked damage only. I understand the heavy (can't remember what it was) but the LT and Progetto? No way they got no damage from the E100 HE unless it is an automatic block?

No it will do damage beyond the render range. It's just trickier to lead or hit a target you can see the exact location of. Even more so if they have armor at an angle you can't see. If they are spotted and you blind fire outside the render range. You will get a notification if you damage them, or critical hit them.

Tho, we did tests in a training room and did notice it doesn't fly too far past it. As when we were 850m out. No impact was shown on the building wall where the 2nd player was looking for impacts. Nor did he get hit standing in the way until we closed the distance to less than it. This is ofc done so you can't blind fire across some maps out of spawn instantly etc.

But if the shield icons are shown it means I did hit them? Tricky or not how did Progetto block that HE? Aren't Progetto a soft tank?

I did a bit more blind firing outside render circle where I knew a few enemy tanks were camping. This is what I got. Those 3 tanks show 10 blocks all together and it says they blocked over 3.5k of damage between them. That EBR alone blocked 1.6k of damage. I don't get it.

IF your shell has sufficient range ( its not small calibre shell with range of 400m ) , if it pens , it will do dmg. I did a handful of hits and kills beyond render range using only minimap. Report me.

Do keep in mind that shells have a maximum range of 710m.

those were HE from E100 fired at tanks camping boosh just outside my render range. there has to be an explanation why those 3 tanks show blocked damage only. the other 3 were shot normally, I could see them and all three have received damage.

The blocks at the end of battle screen tell how much you blocked damage from them.

HE doesn't count towards blocked damage, also if the target is still spotted and you hit it outside of render range it will still tell you how much damage you've done.

That they might've been out of range?

Hard to tell without a replay, you know.
