Compare EBR with T-100LT

T-100 Has way better gun than ebr

T-100 has good armor for a light tank, means it can bounce shots on the move.

EBR cant pen the T-100 with HE frontaly so you need to shoot ap.

T-100 has better view range

Ebr has better camo and 25% better top speed.

Ebr has no armor and so even 50 pen HE rounds will gi through its armor.

EBR can manoeuvre better. 

 

So EBR gives everything for 20-25% better mobility compared to T-100

 

Fun fact, EBR actually can't reliably pen the front of T-100 LT with APCR, it needs to load HEAT.

Because the Manticore is perfectly balanced according to wargamming.

Thus it is a valid reference point.

 

We all know that the british light tanks will never receive a buff, thus any comparison with them is valid.

Wargaming is only going to nerf the EBR or buff the other LT after they see the majority of the playerbase have grinded the line

2,3. You don't get the problem with HE. The wheels on the EBR detonate HE meaning it never penetrates. They take ridiculously little damage from HE hits on their wheels. Their returning HE fire of course does not suffer from the same problem.

5. Who cares. The top tiers go 105km per hour. lol "not that fast".

It's 95 km/h post nerf not 105.

Tier 10 light performance is down to the meta and their poor ability, not the WVs. 

 

Well yes, tier 9 and 10, have the issues of long view ranges on all tanks. This kind of negates the point of a spotting tank. LT at this tier should be a MT, like the batchat.

 

The batchat should not be played as a LT, but can do the little spotting tier X has, while remaining a MT capable of fighting.

The Manticore is rubbish everyone knows that and more fool you for grinding it. 

 

Has no relevance to the balance of the EBR though, it would be like complaining the IS-3 is OP because it's way better than the Tiger 2, you look at tanks compared to the rest of their tier, the better tanks on tier, not the absolute worst tanks on the tier. 

 

The tier 10 lights are as a whole pretty terrible anyway, were before the EBR came along and still are, but the EBR doesn't fight against light tanks, it fight against other tier 10s like 277s, 279es, 430Us, Maus's. Obj. 140s. T95/Fv4201s. IS7s, and all the other tier 10 meta tanks.

 

Also a light tank can easily outplay a WV on an open map, you just don't drive round in the open trying to auto-aim it, you use your superior gun and view range to deal with them at medium to long ranges.
