You think it's the tank? Good luck with that.

totally player dependent.

me, kv1 at T5, Matilda T4, T27 T3.  SKoda T25 at T6, kv3 T7

But only if battles are same tier only.

Notice these are very forgiving tanks good armour but unfortunately the amount of gold ammo is eroding that ability of theirs to shrug off my mistakes...

except skoda, the ROF on that is it's best defence... people penned 3 shots in a row so fast tend to back off .

6 - Hellcat, Type 64

7 - T29, 53TP

8 - Projetto 46, Pantera

9 - Obj 430, Standard B

10 - Obj 430U, Bobject, 279e, anything fast with good armour.

You're looking for a flexible tank that allows you to be where you are needed at all times. You can't win a battle if you can't participate.

One trick poneys rarely carry (Mouse, Type, Leo, Kranvagn).

I've probably managed to carry the most in my amazing KV-2, even managed to ace both of my KV-2's and I've only managed to ace 3 tanks in total.

The only tank I ever pulled of a proper carry is a T-34-85 on my F2P account, winning a 1 vs 7

My Tier for Tier list would be ( assuming you are top tier )

T3 - T-127 - had my first 10 kill game in one

T4 - Matilda - if you can get to the fight !

T5 - KV1, M4A1 with the Derp

T6 - T-34-85 / 85M / Rudy

T7 T29

Not played hardly any games at T8 above for ages so hard to give a good answer.

Not carried much but any tank with the combo of mobility, VR and gun stand good chances of carrying more often than one-trick ponies.

Carry-potential means good gun and armor on closed maps and viewrange, mobility and good gun on open maps.

There are few strong tanks on every tier, not even OP but decent ones and beginer-friendly.
I had intention to write article but will see.
I've written whole text already and passed it to my private mail(was bored at work, lack of new projects and defects on existing ones).
But i am lazy to copy-paate and put proper title and tags. :)

Oh the amount of games my Sherman III has carried. More 75mm dpm, same derp and a better effective hull in most situations. I like that more vs the M4.

But tier for tier. I would have to say for me tier 7 has the best options. T71DA, Comet and the Swedish Leo. Leo has the alpha to scare back high tiers with low HP. All 3 are flexible, sneaky, can spot on their own, good camo when stationary, low profile meds, good gun depression, mobile and great bully tanks. And if the enemy team is spread out or slow, they can map dominate rather well.

You need a versatile tank with mobility-decent gun-view range in order to perform in every map generally.I think it is more player's skill related. If you watch streams, unicums carry even in underperforming tanks. Some team setups cannot be carried even by 3man unicum platoon. Randoms=RNG.A good crew helps a lot. Few tanks below (some not versatile),

Tier 3  T-127,FCM pak40 (400m VR lol)

Tier 4  Luchs,Matilda,T28E,SU-85B(that gun)

Tier 5 Chafee,M4 sherman,S-35(aka the buthtab,that gun),T-67(shameless)

Tier 6 Type 64,T-34-85M,cromwell,Skoda T-25, M-44()

Tier 7 amx1357GF,T71DA,T-29,Su100M1(aka baby bobject),E-25 (shameless)

It's a big factor. Much easier to carry in a 430U than a Foch 155 or anything turretless really.

Agreed. I took the Sherman 3 path to get to make my way towards the FV4005(yes a medium tank path to get to TD's, odd right?) since it avoided what looked like some pretty tragic looking mid tier TD's and so it was British meds up until the Challenger. Ya even though the Sherman 3 has less gun dep it I preferred it for some reason, don't know why that is tbh... definitely preferred the look of it and the funny British camo options.

Actually the tier6 Sherman, Firefly, was a pretty slick unit too at least when it came to sniping with that Vstab capable 17 pdr gun. I think I might repurchase that actually and finish of the 3rd mark. It's just so damn slow though.

At higher tier yes. For lower tier, it really depends how the chips fall and that's why I didn't bother naming any specific tank. I saw a player bag a big carry with an O-ni alone vs 7 tanks simply because the map suited the tank, he was top tier and against clueless Bobs that neither knew where to shoot it nor the capacity to anything other than sit in front of him one at a time, bounce shots of his tank and get killed... it was like a comedy sketch tbh. Does that make the O-Ni a carry tank? Well not if it's bottom tier or on an open map so other than tier9 and 10 tanks, it's really pointless and pure situation imo to say this tank or that tank because it depends on the map, depends on the tier placing of that tank in the battle and depends on what you are up against and who you are up against... plus it depends what you do yourself as a player and of course, what way RNG falls both for you and the tanks you face.

It's skill dependant far more than tank dependant.

In my last few games in the grind in the t8 AMX td, I had 80% t10 mm and majority of the games towards the end I was Acing it or 1st classing it and carrying the t10s with.

My last 13 games in the Panther grind I had 3k+ average combined dmg. Just a couple of tanks you usually wouldn't think are typically OP.

The tanks where they are beginner friendly and have "noobproof armour" are 430U, 279, and maybe bobject these days still.

Btw don't hate on my beloved Foch 155 -.-

But some tanks are just objectively better than others. (e.g. 279e v IS-7) It's really just how flexible a tank can be. A fast turreted high armoured heavium (cough 430U or T95/FV4201) will always have a better potential to carry a game relative to the potential of a slow non turreted TD. Yes some situations can arise where the TD can just camp a corridor but unlike the heavium it wouldn't have the mobility to adapt to new situations. Like what would the TD do if suddenly a Bat Chat appeared behind it? Not much.

Low tiers are kinda irrelevant to talk about these things because in those tiers all sense of game knowledge and tactics gets thrown out and it's just a giant YOLO fest.

The whole concept of carrying a bad team (versus a good team I understand) is to be explained.

Lots of players use XMV to know when they must turn on the "farming damage mode", as their teammates spots and are wrecked - then at the end they jump in the fight and kill the surviving enemies (more often than not).

To me it's just trying to hold a side and die miserably.

Of course they are right.

But when I try to do the same it's even worse than my usual method ...
