Define carry. It is quite hard to really carry a team in the sense that you alone fight all 15 of them. Been trying to do that today and, surprise, that didn't work out. In reality, there are always mutliple people involved, usually everybody, with varying levels of contribution towards the end result. Imagine a game with a scout and a red line sniper. The scout spots all the targets and the red line sniper kills all the targets. Who carried? What most people who proudly boast of a carry do not ever seem to acknowledge is that the rest of their team played a role, too. Quite often a crucial role at that. IMHO, winning games is more about doing what needs to be done when it needs to be done than being the hero with 8 kills and 10K dmg. Flexible tanks make this easier to do, but if you know what you are doing, just about any tank will do, but you will always, always need the help of your team at some level. Even if it is dieing slowly enough.

Even the "art" of distraction is a role a bad player can contribute towards his team winning, even though the noob won't even realize how important he was to the win lol, so everyone really does play a part. While a bad player might not know it, he is acting as "dither fish" by distracting the enemy tanks in at times, important positions so while his result reads zero dmg, zero spots and zero everything apart from taking shots lol... he actually allowed another and most likely better teammate/s to get in there and take out that enemy tank without that better player losing any hp lol... it all adds up and I'm serious about that.

If some clueless Bob plods his big meaty hp heavy armored tank clueless down a flank or across a map, he's gonna be drawing shots, those shooting at him are exposing some enemy tanks as they shoot at him, we get a better understanding of the enemies tank distribution from it, those same enemy tanks aren't looking at anyone else with that big juicy noob plodding along irresistibly and this momentary distraction opens the door and leaves other map positions briefly unpoliced and that's often the only opportunity some of his better teammates need to get in behind and take total control of the battle... so while the better players took advantage of it and dealt lots of damage and kills, that noob with his heavy tank opened the door and was crucial to that win lol. :D:honoring:

anything that is idiot-proof, in other words - has ''balanced'' or above-average mobility and dumb, broken armor - obj279,type 5 (to some extent), obj907,obj430fu,etc.

It depends on your playstyle and what tanks you play the best with.

Its World of Tanks 15v15 so you are going to loose some games no matter what, have to just get used to it.

The KV5

It's fabulous, absolutely fabulous

Best at medium ranges, good armour, ok gun

You can sometimes get half the enemy team spamming at you

Also great for disciplining ping spammers, 100% guaranteed at diverting their attention away from distracting the team

in reality any vehicle in the right situation with the right way to play can overturn an unfavorable game.

To carry you need luck.

Just to get a win you need luck.

With MM placing you top middle or bottom tier, player ability in your team and the joke that is RNG playing WoT is basically a lottery.

You can up your chances in a platoon of decent players but if luck (or the server) is against you, you aren't going to win.

Arty like the LeFH can turn games around

supporting a weak flank or aiding a good attack anywhere on the map can make a big difference

Ive been carrying a lot of games in my Hellcat... Yesterday I mastered the tank four times.   twice on the bounce.  (one nice PM afterwards, one hilarious one for being called a coward for relocating, and winning the game)

It alone is repairing my WR.  87.3%  on the way to the 3rd mark.

Hi Guys,

Thank you

Tanks that combine firepower, mobility, viewrange, camo & armor in a favorable package tend to be good carry machines because they can play very flexible & fill the role the team lacks in that battle & adapt based on the team needs to win. Most tanks that fill this role tend to be mediums & heviums (and some mobile TD's)

However in the context of carry one should not forget a good crew. A good crew makes a tank smoother to play & just that bit better. It really matters because when you have to carry, being able to hide that little bit better, seeing those few meters further & shooting/turning that fraction of a second faster does help.

Last but certainly not least; your skill in the tank. For carrying teams to a win more consistently, you got to be well aware of the advantages & flaws of the tank you drive (and where the best spots are for it on various maps)

Tanks that feel like second nature for you to drive will carry games easier then tanks you struggle with. Sometimes this can mean that tanks that are considered very good by the community don't work for you. But also the reverse, sometimes it is an odd or weird tank that works for you but not for the community.

Speed and DPM I guess as even bad teams will distract and let the enemy beat down on them for awhile...

Who was it that said......"The more I practice, the luckier I get!"

It's not all luck, despite your need to disown personal responsibility.

Something with mobility and a good gun. You need to be able to keep your range to the enemy while doing damage to them.
