Errr... I am pretty sure that there will be less people. You know... marathon, tank rewards, other missions....Add to that real life responsibilities and obligations...

I like the idea .....but I imagine it will be like most tournaments, the top 1% will bask in the rewards, the rest of the average players are just cannon fodder. But I guess that is all tournaments really.

More free crap for the unicums and the brilliant players. I preferred the boxes at least the chance for a drop was the same for me as it was for Quicky Baby. (at least I think it was!) So if this is the replacement of the premiums in the Xmas boxes/crates I do not think that the vast sum of 100 hundred tanks for the very best players who most likely have them anyway (having been gifted them during one of the other private benefits for the best players in the game) and will simply get gold. At the risk of becoming boring I will say again. The top players do not need any further advantages, they are already bloody amazing. The perfect example is the super duper, ultra special equipment that can only be got for bonds...... Well done WG, not only are they much better than us, now they also shoot 10% faster than us! It really ain't rocket science. One last point I do not play in Tournaments because I am not consistently good enough and I would be embarrassed to play and screw it up for the others. I promise you, I am not the only one who feels that way and to be honest I am pretty average. In short I am not that bad I just am not that consistent. Xmas is looking like a let down this year. Why, oh why, would you mess with the winning formula of the last two years. I love your game guys but sometimes your business model and decisions astonish me ..

I can assure you that a team of well coordinated players can beat "better" players. And as there are various formats and tiers available I would suggest choosing the one were you consider yourself the best.

And I can assure you they can't because my clan faces this problem in Global Map wars.

Better players always means they have more time played so superior advantages in camo/vision damage bonuses before you get best tank for the role.

 

Don't get me wrong, I used to be a raider in a top guild before ill health made me crap at games. So I know the rewards at the top of the tree gets only makes playing easier vs the casual player who struggle, many of whom despite being casual were more able but had a life outside of gaming.

 

Or look at it this way, not everybody can afford a Formula One car, so the manufactures make cars for all levels and needs. If you don't do the same for games, ie offer competitiveness at all levels, you will end up left on the shelf by the group you don't cater too.

Tournaments dont become great by adding premium tanks to the rewards .

Fairly sure 7 wins will be enough to get a goodie.

7 Wins can be tough, but simply showing up is often enough to get your first and sometimes second win, so you would only need perhaps 5 more.

Well, you maximize chance to win, by spending a lot of credits, fair trade I guess.
