We've all been there, or will be there at some point.

There you are camoed up behind that wondrous lush concealment waiting to see the prey to unknowingly drive in front of your barrel and... what's this? 6th sense goes off, you see nothing and start taking damage from the direction the bush is supposedly covering you from.

This is becoming really annoying trying to figure out which bushes on the map are real and which are there only to bait you to your death. eg. Fisherman's Bay middle where your light tanks get outlit by heavies, Lakeville also has couple of these.

Could WG possibly redo the bushes in and clearly mark the ones that work and flat out remove the ones that dont, a jagdpanzer E100 shouldn't sneak up and shoot me undetected in front of my 6 skill crew Leopard in Redshire.

You can hide from scouts with 480m+ view range, simple as that.

it's very annoying.

I was starting to wonder whether bushes were affected by RNG

I think the bushes in game that are just decoration are put there by design by WG, ffs its an easy win to fix all the bushes in all current maps.  It could be done in a micro patch.

Stop playing Panthers? Or camp at max view range?

The direction you receive fire from is not necessary the one you get spotted from. The game has 3 dimensions to move in, not just one. You can get spotted from the sides or from a slightly higher position that expose one of your checkpoints.

A replay may solve the issue, tho.

Yep! I hate that bushes are so inconsistent.  The most notable ones are those you mentioned on fisherman's bay and those on the hill on prokhorovka, where the bushes closest to the redline on each side doesn't give any or very little camo.

Those bushes are not made of Rusha!

There is only one bush we know is 100% broken, and you will get spotted 15m behind it regardless, and that's the E8 bush on Fishermans bay. As has been tested. Lakeville? Can't say I've had any broken bushes there.

See the thing with Lakeville and other maps are that just because you take fire from that direction, don't mean the one spotted you is in that direction. Lakeville has many spots to counter 4 lane bush spotters by going wide and taking the bushes close to town etc. So you see them approach, or see their rear end sticking out the bush. And if they have more view range then you. They will spot you easier then you will. Simple as that. As my ELC 90 has done many times by going to the rock smack in front of town seeing the rear TD campers even. Or even the lights along the lake on the other side... sitting in their bushes. As my view range counters their camo at the distance they are at. They don't.

Last time someone complained about that in a medium with all the crew skills. And he only spotted the E100 120m away before he fired on him. He was sitting in a half circle of double bushes giving the E100 80% camo moving up vs his view lines.

No replay required if WG staff would play their own game... just go Fisherman`s Bay middle ridge ( E6/E7 ) from the south spawn... you will be perfectly hidden while everyone coming from the north spawn will be detected behind their bushes. Thats the case since the last version of this map was released and plenty of people reported it here and towards support but obviously no one from the Devs gives a toss or thinks its funny. This all started with the WoT 1.0 launch and looks like some of the previously fine bushes that gave camo in the past did not get the camo value with version jump to 1.0

Bushes are not really "broken", they just don't provide 100% camo at all times like before.

Sure, in many cases its really hard to say just how effective a bush is and many maps have unpredictable bushes that make maps bit unbalanced.

Don't know. Not a zone I frequently go on that map. Isn't that zone the one with all the destroyed houses? Maybe there is some hole on the from where you can spot... That is why a replay would be nice.

Cliff middle bushes between the rocks. I'm certain that this row of bushes is only there for aesthetic purposes.

Overlord map, bushes in the middle of the map next to the rock (when you are coming from the left spawn). Every time you move up you get spotted.

Lower left corner close to the river on Minsk. There is a line of bushes there on the cap side that seems to give no camo

This is true, I had a 8k spotting game with T100 LT on that map recently. Spotted 268v4 and Leo 1 from 300m distance. Both were 100% in thos bushes and stationary.

Fisherman's Bay has those bushes by the buildings in the centre that can be spotted through as if they have 0 camo. Yet the bushes just opposite to them provide full camo.

Noticed that too, really strange things happen there.
