Team damage, all chat and in game stats all pretty much were tools exploited by toxic a-holes, and its good after 1.7 that pretty much all will be gone. We can play the game in peace without armchair Rommel's wanting to ruin our games just because we didn't do play the way they wanted.

+1 QFT.

So, I've been watching a couple of older replays.

How did you do that?

There's a site where you can download old versions.  Hell of a lot of them though so maybe he's using YouTube.

Hm? Do you mean how I managed to play them? If so it's a bit tricky you have to download an older unupdated version of wot that is able to play the replay.
Here's a helpful post were you can learn more about it if you are intressted: http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/398461-how-to-watch-replays-old-new/
Also a couple of these "replays" were videos of someone showing of an older replay cause my computer can't handle too many old wot clients cause they both take a hell of a time to download and eat up quite a lot of your pcs memory.

That's what I was asking. It's a hell of a faff to download old clients and match versions. I've done it once. Which was why I wondered if had been something else like a video sharing site.

Wasn't there a way of sending replays to get them converted to YouTube?  Not sure if it only works with current version though.

I miss the old all chat but I hated it when you had one ******** who had been killed then pinging the location of friendly tanks so enemy can find them and this happened when these players where trying their best to win against a stronger enemy tank/tanks.

So yes I would like it back but some way to stop players informing enemy where allied tanks are, maybe disable all chat ping and also if in all chat if you put a map location ie C6 it has an algorithm that detects this and inserts random symbols instead.

That's what I've been thinking that many seem to disregard it cause of that reason, many think it was a broken system cause you could reveal player locations and cause of how toxic it was, but it was broken cause WG never put in any effort to fix it.

There are again such simple solutions from censoring toxic words or sentences that seem like a player trying to reveal a cordinate to make dead players unable to chat with the alive enemy players or just flat out make it so dead players can't type in the all chat at all.

It could easily be brought back, tweaked, and many of these complaints would be non-existent.

You couldn't showcase a random game with live chat as a PR event because of the sick insults about wishing cancer on players, raping ones family and the eastern European weird obsession with antisemitism. When there was cross team chat it was way worse, not to mention all the giving away of your own teams positions when a player was dead and still had a score to settle.

I on;ly ever used to ping the map for 2 reasons - the silly sod who thought his top tier heavy could win from A1 and to spam false locations to the enemy when the last tank was trying his best to win for the team.

It's only because we realised that if we all played arty then there would be nothing to shoot at.

Please be thankful to those of us who play the "lesser classes" in order to provide food for the sky gods

There was, but it missed out frames, so what you got were all the tin foil brigade started screaming "AIMBOTTER".

I do miss the good parts of it.

I remember an AMX 40 asking people to buy him an IS6 and one top tier enemy telling him that a Churchill would be a better idea. AMX replied that was fine too. Then they killed our tanks but they did not shoot the AMX 40 who was not shooting his new friend who was hanging out at our cap. Never found out if he got the tank.

Tier 2 Malinovka battle. Our guy in that fast US prem that could see 2-4 told everyone it ´Lap One´ then raced to the hill down their base and back to ours via the water. ´Lap two´ and he did some running comments too. He nearly completed the second lap but some people can´t appreciate a decent race so they just killed the enemies.

Our top tier Japanese heavy on Prok went to snipe from the lower left corner. Everyone in the team complained about that and his good stats. Then the enemy spotted him and the first thing they fired was the line ´You´re blue stats and in in that corner with that tank?´ And then almost everyone bonded over their objections to his style (he was 1st on dam in our team though).

And bonding over the worst Churchill 1 vs Churchill 3 duel ever. It started with people telling their tankers to angle but then it was taking ages so after a couple of minutes of missed point blank shot everyone was asking them to just go to the square centre of Himmelsdorf and try to shoot each other there.

And

Enemy arty: Do you need to shoot Arty with APCR?

Me: No that is just revenge for my tracks

Or telling enemy arty i was loading APCR for them (when permatracked by the holy triad of the Bishop ,the Bert and the Birch Gun.

And you could shout out to Forumites even ones you never met which works like this:

Me: Hi F (F is a made up name)

F: Hi Sess

about 40 secs later (which was quick then) we were both smoldering wrecks and first casualties of our teams.

F: That battle did not happen ok?

Me: I don´t see any battle I am in the garage???

If you want to say something nice to the opposition, you can message them after the game. My memories of ALL chat was just salty raging by people accusing you off cheating or of having illegitimate parentage, and of your own teammates telling the enemy where you were because they thought you should die quicker.

no, the common chat was a source of toxicity, who says it is good to propose again the common chat in the games does not have the slightest memory of previous years on WoT

even the general chat in the garage should be removed forever given what is written on average by the players is just something toxic and useless

Or, we could just have the all chat and you can switch it off if you don't like it.

No you can't  Unfortunately people would have chat on JUST so they could receive enemy team positions.   I could handle all the toxic crap  but you could do nothing about   "He's in A1 behind bush in whatever"   Heck I did it myself when it was top tier red line camping...   Obviously people regardless of what pointed out arty.    I do miss me being last tank on the map shouting to enemy team "kill all"...  Got  a few extra kills that way.

20:48 Added after 1 minute
Oh and I got reported once for giving away my OWN position as last remaining tank
