As I was having another bad game in my self-inflicted mission to paint a mark on the Strv whatever's gun before selling it (I did it in the end and sold the thing; hate the tank, I hate it, I tell you, I hate it), I spotted something that made me laugh. There is base camping, and then there is this:

Can you blame them when you have left the arty to scout?

Well, at that point, we were all doing our best, i.e. looking for a suitable way to die, but I suspect that there might have been superior alternatives to tucking a top tier tank in the farthest hole from the enemies since the beginning of the battle. There is a hole there, preventing him from having line of sight with anything more than 50m away.

Honestly I'm more impressed he actually fired his gun.

Snapshotting a person doing what you and another person are doing.  What conclusions should I draw about you and him?  The O-I did worse and yet you make no comment there.

Nothing special. In my games my teamates with tx heavys or meds try to escape the map in almost every game.

He is  doing nothing wrong. Players are "Free to play as they choose". That is the reply I got from WG when I reported a player for driving into a blind spot and doing NOTHING the entire game in his T29. Not even an accidental spot.

There is another player who deliberately suicides at the beginning of battle. I recently checked him out again and he hadn't played in a while. He is back, though. WG say he may have had to go to the toilet (or words to that effect). WHAT? EVERY BATTLE?

Not at all unusual, unfortunately.

Unfair plane he kemp bush!

I will personally never understand how these people (who arent botting btw) enjoy the game just sitting in a bush for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come and end it all, but if thats the way they like to play the game what can we do.

Guys remember, he may have dribbled onto his keyboard and shorted it out. Give the guy a break he probably doesn;t even know his own name.

O-I arguably tried, and so did I, we just failed (in case it looks like I had spent all day at that spot, there is a small 39 near the lower left corner that might give a hint).

I sort of agree with that sentiment; playing bad is not a crime, nor is not even trying, it is all within rules. I tried my heart out and didn't do any better, so it's all the same for the team's perspective. I just thought it was funny that he had found the very most prospect-lessest spot in the entire map for not doing anything.

Bots, or players functioning on the mental level of a bot program......

Either is bad for everyone's gameplay experience.

Strange that this subject should come up today. I have just played on Overlord with a T29 as top tier. Redline camping, he has moved 550m in total to get there (and moved a tiny, tiny bit at the end). He has fired 6 shots for 3 non-pen hits and dies with zero damage.

I thought maybe he was stock. He has 232 battles in the T29 with average damage of 336 HP

Same map yesterday, opposite spawn, tier 8-9-10 battle.

Our full health IS-7 decided to drive in circles near the base all the time.

His score was 0 dmg, not a single shot or attempt to play the game.

We lost.

He wasn't bot since he was having fun responding to chat mentions. I checked him after the battle, around 49% WR, so not a deep red tomato either.

Sigh...

Considering the tanks in game, the Lefefe arty is probably the best scout they could have.

I argue that, compared to certain players, I far more prefere to have a well programmed bot than one of those humans! :P
