The british valentine tank. One wich has a good popularity and reputation. A small, yet very well armoured tank. While the crews disliked the cramped fighting compartiment, they loved it in return. 65mm of frontal sloped armour protecting them. Only the flak 88 was reliably capable of penetrating its armor(The PZIV Ausf F2 could, but at close range, and the Ausf F2 was very rare

Based on the A10 Cruiser tank, the Valentine was privately designed by Vickers-Armstrongs (hence its lack of a General Staff "A" designation) and was submitted to the War Office on 10 February 1938. The development team tried to match the lower weight of a cruiser tank - allowing the suspension and transmission parts of the A10 heavy cruiser to be used - with the greater armour of an infantry tank. The result is a very compact vehicle with a cramped interior and two-man turret. Its armour was weaker than the Infantry Tank II Matilda but, due to a weaker engine, the lighter tank had the same top speed; however, the new design was easier to produce and much less expensive

The Valentine saw its action in North africa and on the eastfront. Where all the crews loved its armour, very good reliability and small size, wich helped it alot in defensive warfare on the east.

So how can the valentine be introduced in WOT? It already is. Good armor, but a bad gun for its tier (Tier IV, also TIER IV on pre alpha tech tree)

Uk's WOT's valentine can be stock a valentine Mark II or 3 hull. 65mm frontally, 60mm Side armour for the Mark II or the mark III with 50mm side armour
I vote for the Mark III because it sounds better balance wise, and the Mark 3 turret can be used wich had a 3 man turret layout, not a 2 one in the mark 2.

65/50/50 doesnt sound to much for a T4 tank, considering the fact that the speed of the valentine is very slow

The upgraded turret should be the Mark 10 turret, wich was capable of mounting both a 6PDR and 75mm ROQF. However the Mark 3 turret could mount a 6PDR gun aswel
Guns=
-2PDR mk X ROQF
-2PDR Mk X-B(little john adaptor, increased penetration)
-6PDR ROQF L43 Mark 3
-6PDR ROQF L50 Mark 4
-75mm ROQF

Engines can be various=
AEC A189 135 hp petrol
AEC A190 131 hp diesel engine
138 hp GMC 6004 diesel
GMC 6004 165HP diesel

Spoiler

Important note= While the Valentine was classified as a infantry tanks, by standard classification, it is infact a light tank. Weighting only at 16 tonnes at Mark 1-5 and 17 tonnes at mark 5-11

This thing will be disgustingly (in positive manner ;)) OP in tier 4 fights once it hits the 6 pounder. Though undoubtedly it won't get the favourable MM the lend-lease Valentine gets.

No Tier 4 gets favourable matchmaking. The T28 is the only Tier 4 that can properly engage tanks above its tier

Tanks like the PZIII has great speed to escape combat, but the Valentine doesnt have that, so it needs that firepower
Adding the 6PDR ROQF L50 with 110mm penetration is an absolute must

PLUS

HEAR THAT

you Hear that?
YOU HEAR THAT?
*WHAT?
THAT ROAR! THAT  ENGINE ROAR! OF A VALENTINE!
NOTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD SOUNDS LIKE THAT!
I love the sound of a valentine tank in the morning

The lend-lease Valentine has same MM as the B2. ;) It only gets tier 4 fights.

Valentine is light, matilda is medium.
Both are well armored for tier 4, both should use 6 pounder as top gun.
Looks like t-28 is getting obsolete  B)

That's true it's struggles to pen nearly all other tier 4's.

Still my highest xp with the valentine is 2025 and I've not seen anyone beat it yet. :)

Yep. 2 Tanks in front are Mark II cruiser tanks, or the A10 model

With all the upgrades the Valentine had it could be two tanks tie 4 and 5. Tie 4 could be all those marks with 2 pdr's (including little john adapter), then tie 5 could have from the 6 pdr and 75mm.

6PDR and 75mm can perfectly fit in Tier 4 because they already do

And both will be afraid to be spotted by KV-2 since they both lack mobility.

Hoi all,
Facing tks like the M3,Hetzer and others with the Vals 2 pounder is like a knigth in armour with a hand catapult...
Even the lttle atempts with "premium" ammo only got comments like "boundst off" & "did not penetrate"...
Traying to hit a Hetzer in de back is almost impossible cause a experient comd can turn his gun faster then the Vals turret...en then a deadly waltz starts with a almost certain outcome.
So come on with that 6 pdr or the 75 mm !! :Smile-izmena:
My killratio with my Val is higher then the battles with it ..i want to keep it that way.
( sry for any language faults,Englisch is not my native tongue..)
Grtz,MMM
