While I agree that they are very annoying, I think removing them would be too harsh. But a complete rework is necessary. Those wheels absorb more shots without consequences than any tracks on tanks. You shoot on a wheelchair with a 152mm, hit the wheel, 0dmg and it runs further away without even slowing down. In the battle results you can see that you caused a "critical" damage to that vehicle, namely damaged suspension. Now that is what needs to be changed. These vehicles should be one or maximum two shots for almost any tanks in the game and those wheels shouldn't absorb anything.

I understand- to some extent- the thinking behind this occurrence, but you are right. Where you would track (and possibly even seriously damage) a tank, the WVs just bog off at speed like you threw a paper dart at them. They can be hard enough to hit as it is, and when you do, this is how you are rewarded: credit for a critical hit.


 

Now that I have got more used to their presence (and I do think that there are less of them now that the shine has worn off) the above is the only thing that truly annoys me about these vehicles.

This has always been my objection to them - why should they continue driving when other vehicles would not?

Yes - But to keeps things in line with the rest of the Light Tank Meta they will have a top speed of 60km/h, 40% of the RoF of the EBR and 10 more alpha damage. They will then be marketed as 'Hard Hitting British Wheeled Vehicles'.

You damage them the exact same way as you do tanks, hit the hull hitbox. Its just small so people hit only wheels. Its matter of aiming, nothing else.

Just wanted to slight correct what you said. :)

 

Players can hit the wheels and the shells (AP, APCR and HEAT) will all go through the wheel and will damage the tank if they hit the hitbox of the hull. The wheels do not absorb any shells, they only work the same as tracks or any other external module and detonate HE shells on impact. Only the tiny suspension systems on front and rear wheels are able to absorb shells just like tracks are able to.

Just move the wheeled vehicles in to their own game mode, some sort of super mario tanks racing.
