There are a certain amount of sociopathic TD players who see fellow players as AI bots who should have a enemy spotted the instant they are reloaded and will gladly lose a ally for every shot they take as long as they get to farm damage a bit. With these players in your team I've noticed it is a defeat every time without fail. I've disabled chat too after their boorish demands after every reload became stale and monotonous.

Want to communicate with a scout in a polite and respectful way ? Send a platoon invitation because more often than not he/she will have chat disabled. The relationship between a frontline tank and TD is not "blind guy and personal guide dog on a short leash".

When that happens to me, I don't even know why I try to explain to them anymore. It never goes through to them why it isn't a good idea to do what they tell me to do, or that I'm already doing something important.

I've noticed this more recently grinding up the new tanks. Though there is still the issue that also usually the heavies camping in the bush next to them (nothing changed there :D ) , and the fast TDs that could spot are somehow further behind

Which today resulted in me going off to spot sort of... once in artillery, another time in low-tier French TD (Tier 4 in a Tier 6 battle), another time in a up-tiered Tier 3/4 autoloader where I had to load gold to pen yet another Tier 6 (playing late lol). Somehow scrapped wins but resisted temptation to hammer the report button.

I'm sorry, but I don't trust a single "go spot light tank noob" player to actually hit anything even if I spot something.

All my TD crews have recon and situational awarenes as first skill. Combined with the obviously present binocs and a no-camping policy i'll do my own spotting.

I'm sure i could be a better TD player if i didn't but hey, i'm having a good time and love those spotter medals...

No kidding, a lot of TD's have an excellent view range and could be closer to the front line than they ussually are. No need to flame a scout.

As someone grinding the UDES 03 this post made me kinda realise how mean I might have been to some of the team's scouts.
After all, when sitting in the TD you feel like there is nothing there to stop the scouts from moving up. But thanks for bringing this up as form now on I shall try to communicate with the team's scouts.

Is that what the platoon invite spam is about?  I got sick of it and disabled platoon invites.

How would it work anyway, if you have chat turned off then you still won't be able to communicate.  Or are you suggesting turning the in game voice chat on?

Chat disabled will be for a good reason, ask anything and it is usually stfu noob, why enter a game with al that going on, in fact why play an LT at all your spootte before you can spot anything, only people with lightning quick reflexes need play LT's, other wise they are mere yolo machines

Even worse when the tank in question is a like a T95 or E3, and is basically most of the team's remaining HP and best armour, but the guy is asking one shot mediums to go spot for him.

Sadly the game rewards camping noobs too much these days, which encourages this playstyle, too many maps have OP base camping spots.

Actually even with chat disabled, if you platoon, you can still chat, WOW's brough this out not s long ago, but in there when you disable chat, it knocks out division chat too, this is about the one thing where WoT's trumps WoW's

There are tones of such players having itchy pointer fingers, impatient to shoot at reds and acting not nicely in chat.

On the other hand, there are tones LT5+ commanders that do not have a clue about thier gameplay.

Sending a toon invite or talking nicely to them will not change this fact.

What is it then?

A shepherd with no leash and no training at all?

Much to learn for you!

I play lights but I do what I consider that needs to be done, i play with my money with my time for my fun. Also If I get pushed or something I change flank and wish them gl, in the past u get shot if you did not yolo as some player with bot stats was ordering but nowadays it is better with the teamdamage removed, I must admit that if I was playing derp t49  that ware reluctant to shoot ya :D but overall I am happy with the teamdamage removal as I returned fire with my t49 ending up banned if I was unlucky to torch them to death

The worst offenders are usually out of rendering range anyway. Just tell them to go spot themselves instead.

That's not restricted to only TDs... i had light tanks camping bush and demanding me, heavy tank driver, to spot for them.... In situations where the light tank could rather easily and safely spot while trying to spot with the heavy would just be throwing the tank away for nothing...
