Last year I bought 4 different small packs one of each type did ok but not amazing no tier 8 tanks as I remember certainly not the defender and IS3A I wanted, but did get more than I paid for so happy enough.

Much later in the event I bought 75 boxes and did get the defender but still no IS3A.

Even more gold premium time and tanks.

So got way more than I paid for all the tanks but one all the skins and finished the holiday ops well in profit.

This year bought 75 boxes right at the start got all the tanks but one and all the skins.

The gold like last year will last me till the next Holiday ops.

For me other than the new Tier 8 tanks I am after the reason to get the boxes it getting the festive spirit to 10 at the start of the event rather than the end.

Every game you play is like having a permanent booster or like playing premium tanks, a whole month of that is great.

I don't spend more than I can afford and know the pros and cons of the loot boxes so wasn't tracked or cheated in any way.

If it’s all up to the parents then what difference does it make that someone else has determined it’s suitable for your child?

The position that it’s all up to the parents can only logically lead to removing all age restrictions based laws.

Whether you like it or not that's pretty much how it is now anyway, the call of duty games are rated 18 but that doesn't stop people buying it for their kids.

Last question needs an "I don't care about the boxes' option.

The rating is there to provide guidance, it's still the parents responsibility to decide whether or not they wish to follow that guidance and allow their child to access that material. There is no logical progression that parental responsibility renders an age restriction worthless.

If it’s all up to the parents then yes it does logically lead to taking the position that age related restrictions should be removed as they are meaningless. That’s the only position you can take if you’ve being sold the pup that companies should be able to do anything they want and all responsibility lies what the individual.

That’s completely irrelevant to the point I made. If you’re part of the it’s all the parents responsibility then you do indeed hold the position that age restrictions should be removed.

The problem though is this logo:

I believe the age of criminal responsibility is around 10 (in the UK at least). Under that and the parents will generally catch for it. Over that and it depends on several factors.

Criminal responsibility Europe wide varies from around 10 to 16 I believe.

I'm no lawyer but the old stand by that it's the parents fault doesn't always wash.  Just sayin'

ok. i voted that i'm happy with the lootboxes as they are now. And the reason for it, is exactly, for the gambling part. If the exact 'droprates' are known where is the fun really?

Secondly, i do think they offer good value for money. I spent 120 euro and got 331 euro for it in return.

However, i dislike the whole mechanics of NEW tanks being introduced and only being able to get them. in that regard it should be a 'certain' drop. Also the 'reward' is only useful if you really need it. If you don't play regularly you don't need the premium days or gold even!

had to throw one in the end; I mean... if it's a trade, you gotta smack it =))))

not lucky this year; didn't get the gold I could flat out buy. Instead I got a 703 which will probably have the fate of last year's defender(0 games played). so for me 0 value.

But was very lucky last year. Plus I bought them suboptimal. In the end, whatever. It's 60 eur; probably lost 15 compared to straight gold buying. Or, well, got a t8 I'll never play for 15 eur. I mean... who gives a f.

On the other hand, not smacking it is damn annoying :P

p.s. - yes, technically also got some low tier shitters, decorations and credits and premium and whatever which also have 0 value for me

In cash? If you spent 120 and got back 331 euros that's the great deal. Unless if you are talking about in game values, in other words, pixels, worth 0. Ok, I am joking. If you can afford to spend money for the game and you are enjoying the content, then you did well. Otherwise you threw away your money to a dying game.

The opinion of people who don't care about the boxes is not important here, so they should not even click on this poll to begin with if they really don't care. ;)

Beware the bearers of false gifts and their broken promises. Much pain but still time. Believe there is good out there. We oppose deception.

I’m sure that sounded really profound when you typed it out. Reality may have a different view.

My results after opening 225 Boxes:

(the credits are a little incorrect btw)

75 New Year Boxes

  • SU-130PM (nice!)
  • All 6 3D skins (nice!)
  • Julia female crewmember (nice!)
  • Sherman VC Firefly
  • Bretange Panther
  • Panzer III K
  • Sexton (double)
  • AMD wheelded

75 Christmas Boxes

  • E 75 TS (nice!)
  • Bretange Panther (double)
  • Panzer III K (double)
  • Sexton (double)
  • AMD wheelded (double)

I was hoping for the double barreled, but I am very happy that I got at least 2 tier VIII tanks out of it. 1 tier VIII per 75 boxes was my prediction so it was 100% to my expectations! :coin:

Edit: I decided to buy another 75 boxes, just to try one more time to get the double barreled (oh my, I know) and luckily I got it (twice)!

75 Lunar Boxes

  • Obj 703 II (twice!)
  • SU 130P (double!)
  • Bretange Panther (double)
  • Panzer III K (double)
  • Sexton (double)
  • AMD wheelded (double)

Some people are satisfied with false gifts... congatulations. Now just wait for broken promises planned for the year 2020 and enjoy this dead greedy game.

Today I bought 25 boxes and I couldn't believe my luck when I landed both the new E75 and the Object 703. I got skins for the Amx 105, E4 and Object 430U, non of which I currently own but hey. I got an average amount of gold, credits and also landed the Sexton.

By by the end of this, I had about 9.5k gold in my coffers and given that I'd fancied the Caern AX for a while being a Brit, I bought another 11 boxes on the chance I'd top my gold reserve up to the 10.5k needed and low and behold, I also landed the SU130.....!!!!

i have no idea what that lot was worth but, it had to be way more than the 50 odd quid I paid and I couldn't be happier....#always lucky.....see you on the battlefield peeps and Merry Xmas, ho, Ho, ho

For my part I was extremely lucky this year !

I had budgeted for 2x75 boxes and no more: I got everything, 8 of 9 prem tanks, Julia, skins, etc ... a tonload of gold, credits, prem time EXCEPT the SU-130 which is ok.

I guess that evens out for last year, which was not so good.

Bottom line: you just roll the dice as far as what you get, however you always get more stuff that what you paid for !

Tip for next year WG

3 boxes - all random

11 boxes - at least 1 tier 2-5 guaranteed

25 boxes - at least 1 tier 6-7 guaranteed

75 boxes - at least 1 tier 8 guaranteed

I'm sure with this will be people much more satisfied and you will sell more boxes. It's the same like when you make package with one or half year premium time + tanks for free.

And not like 90 boxes bought and no 8tier inside, that really piss me off

I got myself 75 boxes for 100 euro.

Considering the reports I got quit lucky by receiving 4 tier 8 premiums and plenty of other goodies.
My luck nearly made me buy some more but then I remembered that I only would get gold since I got all the tier 8 premiums in the first batch
