I understand that the kolobanovs exists for 1v5's, however it feels wrong to win a 1v4 and not have a medal or some sort of statistic that will allow to remember those glorious moments.

I'd like a medal for winning a 1v1. It's all I can hope for!

And then a medal for a 1 v 3, 1 v 2, 1 v 1.

I also think there should be a medal for being the last tank standing on both teams, its another memorable moment that isn't captured by some sort of medal.

You want a medal for hiding in the corner of the map all game?

I draw the line at this one. They'll be thousands of camping tomatoes shooting the last enemy tank on double-digit HP and "winning" such a medal.

That's more or less half the 1 vs 5 medals. Waiting for the timer to go out on assault.

So basically... rewarding camping. As that's most last guns. Not due to smart play.

Yes, and while we're at it can we have a medal for just participating too?

In fact, can I have a medal for existing? Afterall, it's hard work.

This thread is just a "LoOk At My RePlaY aNd TeLl Me HoW fAnTaStIc I aM"

Nothing to do with what you said, just wanted to point out that in relation to your forum sig. The T28 HTC and T55a are not premium vehicles :hiding:

Nah this thread is I had a memorable game and don't have anything to really show for it outside of standard medals, there are already a lot of ribbons in the game like fire-for-effect that are just nice qol things to have in the game. And if existing is such hard work consider ending it :)

Do you really think medals are actually worth anything in WoT?

Other than in your service record (which nobody ever looks at) nobody will ever know you have it.

If there was some other way for them to be displayed (such as a camo reward for so many of the same medal etc) Then I would be all for it. But there is literally no point to them.

Medals and ribbons are recognition for a good performance in something, whether its blocking a lot of shots, doing lots of damage from range or anything that wargaming thinks is noticeable, my point is that winning a 1v4 is an achievement and having some sort of recognition would be nice. its's a small quality of life thing nothing major.

By that logic I should complain that I should have a further 20 Kolobanovs medals since I've won many a battle where I was effectively 1 vs 5-8 tanks but because some AFK clicker teammate wasn't killed that wasn't even at his keyboard the entire battle I don't get them. Nah, the big achievement feeling is to win it for the first time. After that, it's still very nice and I suppose it proves the achievement was no fluke or lucky but it's like the second or third moon landing, the first was the epic achievement, the big breakthrough, a step into the unknown, the following times... nice but who gives a shhhhhhhhhh at the same time it's already been done lol.

You are correct.

Hence WG has introduced the "Fighter" medal, some years ago, for 4-5 kills in a random battle.

It's just a small recognition, but better than nothing.

Btw, don't take the negativity too hard, just imagine it's a signal that you gotta draw a line somewhere. And that's obviously tricky sometimes, but it seems that 1 v 5 was a good enough pick.

Agreed.

Would be cool for the game to get some more medals , and better rewards from them to.

And I guess WG should make a medal for guys who keep their garages clean.

1 v 5 is better than 1 v 4 because you'll be fight against one third of the enemy team mate!. ;)

Again, this isn't a medal for nothing, its the result of an achievement, it doesnt even need to be an epic medal a small ribbon would suffice, just some form of recognition would be nice.
