Who won the Evil versus Santa event? Are those that took part going to get a large box for free like last year ? Does it make any difference whether you are on the winning team or not (it didn't matter last year as I remember) and when will any reward for this event be given out? Anyone now any of that?

It ended today so it might take a bit. The stream where the winning team would be announced is still going. So idk if they have said who won yet.

And no... we don't get large boxes this year according to the page. It's small boxes, camo and training manuals.

I think it would be a big shame if WG don't give out the big box this year, as I thought it was a nice gesture by them last year and gave those who can't afford to buy large boxes a chance to be part of the excitement,

I am ok with this. Giving the reqwards only to one side on a coin flip is effing stupid.

Sounds a bit like real life to me. Some you win, some you loose.

I can understand where there is some sort of realistic competition - but when its just "Pick A or B", one party gets rewarded and the other gets told to go eff itself - seems a bit rubbish.

If I wanted real life I'd go outside.

Maybe, but isnt that what people do on the footie? money or a sportmans (womans) bet on one side winning?  if it was a 'level playing field' they wouldnt be a point in playing.

What what

You have information to make a decision when you bet on a sporting event.

Yes, it isn't 100% - but when Man City are playing Cardiff you can make a pretty informed choice on where to place your bet.

This would be more like walking in to a bookies and placing a bet on 'Team A' to beat 'Team B' and only finding out the teams after the match is finished.

Anyhoo, these are supposed to be fun events where the key objective for WG and the community is participation. Future participation is more likely if you get a reward regardless of the result.

Trouble? I don't think so, they make sh1tloads of money, how many time could an average player buy an "A" class game for the money he/she spent on WoT? This year I spent around 7 times the price of a normal game here. I think they earn more than Bethesda or Bioware with much less work. Don't afraid, WG guys are doing well on the sunny beaches of Cyprus.

Apparently the reward is not given automatically. If you want the reward you need to claim the bonus code: YOUDESERVEIT

No large boxes. It's 3 small boxes and that potato camo.

Me mum taught me to always say thank you when receiving something. If Santa did not win and I do not receive anything, this is also fine. I hope those that will receive something enjoy it.

Regardless of which side won, we have decided to award the prizes to all players that have completed the missions.
