Just saw a reference to a ship WoW's in another thread, and it got me thinking, (I know, that is a highly dangerous concept)

But is WoW's can make secondary guns on ships work, why can WoT's not make the other gun on the M3 Lee work, this could also apply to the Churchill 1.

How would you balance it?

Tried and tested during the Leviathan halloween event (last year? forgot). Haven't heard a word about the mechanic since. Probably scrapped or put on the back burner.

I'd love to see it. Imagine the threads: "M3 Lee OP!!" :teethhappy:

WG did see that test as a failure. How or what made it a failure? No idea as they never went into details. But I doubt we will see it soon. As the last time they talked about it. They simply said it won't apply to many tanks to focus on it atm. But that was a while ago.

On some it would work for sure like the Churchill. But on the M3 Lee? I doubt it would even be effective. As it can't overmatch most lights even. And I doubt it would have much pen to harras anything unless lower tier to be viable.

1.) Upgrade to Tier V

2.) Meet Scorpion which has 1mm armor

3.) Profit

:great:

I played it in 2015 and it aint that bad of a tank just got to pick out the spots  so your gun can poke out and 3/4 of the tank is behind the wall

One of the worst tanks in game. Would not even bother playing it. just skip it with free xp.

I thought the Lee was OP...

Well in my 30 games in it I have a 73.3%WR which makes it my 'best' tank with over 25 games played

That would make the M3Lee even more OP, its a crap tank only if you don't know how to play it, its also an excellent dancer.  Id actually say its my favourite and definitely the most hilarious tank in the whole game.  go figure!

Those lower tiers should be where players actually learn about the game and learn how to use their tanks in their correct role.

Sadly far too many players think that skipping low tiers to play tier 8+ will help them learn faster, but years later a lot still haven't mastered the basics such as spotting, camo, how/when to scout (and when not to) etc.

Most players who skip the low tiers end-up in the position that instead of being an asset to their high tier team-mates they actually become an anchor that needs to be carried.

But besides all that tiers 4-7 can be super fun with some epic battles.

I hated the Lee when I first started playing.  However, I repurchased it this year and, probably as a result of now being more experienced, have found it not only very effective but also fun to play.  I have 57% w/r in it, which is well above my average, despite it only having a mediocre crew.

The gun is remarkable.  2600 dpm at Tier IV is impressive (24 RoF on the top 75mm gun), as is 92 pen on AP and 127 pen on APCR.  It can fairly easily pen any opponent, including at Tier VI.  It also has the option of using its 75mm HE, which will be lethal to most Tier III and IV opponents.  Aim time and accuracy are also good.

The 50mm front armour is not great, but neither is it terrible, and is pretty decent compared to other Tier IV Mediums.

Personally, I use it as a Medium, rather than a TD, with the obvious limitation that it is not turreted and is fragile vs higher tiers.  It does have the advantage of quite a wide gun arc so if kept head on the lack of a turret isn't too significant.

Basically the main issue with the M3Lee (and the Grant) is that due to being tierIV it is usually played by new players who don't have the experience to cope with its unwieldy features and can't utilize the strengths of it. Add to that that most likely they won't have a good crew in it and the M3Lee will soon become a bad vehicle for them.

i guess , we all have our opinions...

I for one always hated it. Not as much as the Churchill tier 6... that is the worst tank in game. hate it with a passion.
